We've talked a lot about the different leagues he played in, how legit Galinari's numbers are, etc.

After everything I've seen from him, I have no doubt he would have dominated offensively in the NCAA.

What do you think?

I think in any of the best conferences he would have averaged:

22+ pts.
9 rebounds
4+ assists
1 blk
Close to 50% shooting from 2 and 3 point range.

In other words, I think he would have dominated in college and probably would have been player of the year in most conferences, and been consideration for player of the year overall. He's big, agile, and skilled, with a nose for scoring. That equals great success at the college level.

Good luck Mike D'Antoni, 'cause you ain't never seen nothing like this before!

He was definitely the BPA at 6. After watch some clips of the players from college and watching Gallinari's italian games you realize that he is a lot more skilled than some of the players that came out of college. Only a handful have the skills he demonstrated. Rose, Beasley, Mayo and Gordon. After those players there was a huge drop off in talent level.

Adam Morrison averaged like 30ppg in college. it's a different game than the NBA. we'll see how Danilo adjusts to the NBA.

He would have been a monster scorer in NCAA ball.

Unsubstantiated. We have no idea what he would have been able to under college play rules and systematic play.

Adam Morisson was a stiff 1-skill guy in the NCAA shooting 1,000 times a game. He really bears no resemblance to Galinari. Ammo's hype was so off the charts (comparing him to KVH is so unfair to KVH's college career.) he'll never be able to live up to it.

I think a better comparison for Galinari is Wally Szcerbiak, who was a dominant college player who drove strong (in college).

How come nobody wants to say what kind of numbers he would have put up at say, UCONN? Nobody can be wrong, it is all speculative.

He can shoot and drive and go left and right. He would have gone off against kids his own age in college. He went off against men in Europe.

LOL if donte green averaged 18/gm in the big east last year i think gallo would have put up at least 18/gm. harangody put up 20 a game in the vaunted big east last year, harangody will not be a player in the NBA.

We will see how good Danillo is when he has to guard Carlos Boozer.

from everything i've seen danillo is a 3, why would he guard carlos boozer?

for all your talk about how randolph is the better pick, i'd love to see him guard boozer. he weighs, what, 185 pounds? i'm sure boozer would need about 2 seconds to score.

Different question.

We are talking about how Galinari would do when he is being guarded by Joe Alexander and the like. The same way all other college players are judged.

Andrew Bogut who was atleast three times the prospect averaged 20 points as a sophmore with 12 rebounds shooting 62%

Danillio with his stifflegs and positioing would not have averaged more than 6 rebounds and depending who he played for 14-17 points around 45% shooting

bogut also played in the mountain west briggs. and funny you brought up, given bogut is from overseas, played in college and, as you showed, put up nice numbers.

"with his stiff legs and positioning" briggs adam morrison avg. 30 a game in college. gallo would've put up at least 20/gm, esp. if donte green is putting up 17 per.

A better comparison in terms of game or skillset would be Troy Murphy, don't you think? In terms of size and skill they are comparable. They both like to play the perimeter and have similar athletic ability. I would say Murphy is a slightly better athlete, and Galinari has better ball-handling skills.

Since Galinari Shot over 40% from the longer 3 point range, he would have averaged quite a bit.

I think he would have been like Troy Murphy.
