I like the idea of picking up Jason "WHITE CHOCOLATE" Williams for a 2 year league minimum contract. We all know the guy can pass and shoot the 3 as well as run the break to perfection !!! He is a FA and can be had cheap and effect out cap for 2010.

I would then sign Shawn Livingston to a 1 yr league minimum contract. Yes he had a major injury but prior to the injury he was a 6'7 PG with special skillz. He would take a minimum deal and i w ould offer just to see if he can return to stature while not losing anything because he can easily be bought out due to the small amount of mount bein paid. If he can return to being productive, then you have a young 6'7 PG to take over cheaply !! ( ONLY IF HE IS HEALTHY ENOUGHT TO PLAY )

Pray that Detroit will trade Rasheed Wallace for David Lee & Zach Randolph, ( yes it works, trade ID # 4694065 ) If i have to give a future pick, then so be it.

Pray that Memphis will trade Darko & Crittenton for Curry & future 2nd rd pick. ( yes it works, trade ID # 4694080 ). Memphis does it to pair Mayo, Gay, Conley, Gasol and Curry for a future playoff team.

C = RASHEED / Gallinari
PF = GALLINARI / Chandler
SF = CHANDLER / Balkman
SG = CRAWFORD / Nate
PG = J WILLIAMS / Crittenton

Will we win alot of games ?? No but in 2010 the only contracts on the books will be Craw and he will have 1yr left on his and the rookie contracts of Crittenton, Chandler, Gallinari and Collins. For 2 years we get lottery picks, cap room and the ability to sign, Lebron, Wade and Howard.
When opportunity knocks, make sure you open the door !!!

where are we getting 2 years of lottery picks? Ours in 2010 goes to Utah.

Jason Williams? I don't think he's healthy anymore and an NBDL player would make more sense.

The Detroit trade doesn't seem so bad, but honestly we can't give up a future pick and we need to get one back if possible.

I tried every angle, looked at every suggestion and idea and took a lot of **** from people for suggesting 'we can do it'. But from everything I see in the aftermath of isiah-diot, we basically are screwed until the bad stuff burns out. I'm hoping Donnie just sits back and let's it do just that. No more big commitments, until the bad commitments are long gone.
I'll never trust this' team again.

Seriously this couldn't have went in my point guard thread?

Setting Jason Williams free would be awesome but would he want to sign a 2 year deal to play in NYC? Funny ****? He actually was the starting point guard for a championship club. I'm all for signing him cheap for 2 years.

I like Williams. And Nate wasn't all bad either in a true free wheeling style similar to summer league ball last 2 years. Jay will and Nate interesting.
Let's go Knicks. That's amare

i agree, i dunno why people feel the need to start up separate threads everytime they wanna discuss something that can easily be consolidated as part of an already existing thread that's currently being discussed. (not trying to pick on u BlacKat, just making a comment in general)

personally i want no part of White Chocolate Williams... Nate's better than him IMHO, why bother? he gives u some fancy shmancy passing here & there but he plays absolutely no D & he's 32... right now he's a shadow of what he used to be in Sactown & early years in MEM... u could probably sign Arroyo for cheaper & he'd give u the same production or better for less.
After 7 years & 40K+ posts, banned by martin for calling Nalod a 'moron'. Awesome.
