To play the best players we have? Or will he be like Isiah and play based on contract size... I think right now the best lineup we can put on the floor is
Lee/Gallinari/Chandler/Crawford/Nate
I mean I know that Line up sucks, but it will still be fun to watch. But will Dantoni have the balls to sit down Marbury/Curry/Randolph/Jeffries?
Anyway, as much as we hate Marbury he is much better than Nate Robinson, at least for me.
exactly... what you meant to say is does DAntoni have the guts the play the players we *like* because Curry is our best C, Marbury our best PG, Zach is our best PF, etc

Pretty much....
I just hope he throws Gallarini in the fire immediately so he can get used to the nba faster. I'd rather him get a handle on it around the all-star break than the last 2 weeks of the season.

There is best players and then there is best line up.
I honestly don't think any coach or system can make a front line of Zach & Curry work.

only player that d'alsh have a stake in is gallinari.
every other player is a remnant of the previous regime. he has no loyalty to any of those guys so i think he will play guys that help. and as the season goes on, the team motto won't be "7 seconds or less", it'll be "7 player rotation or less."

But if you take Walsh's mission of 2010 cap room, you're going to have to play Zach to make him look good to other teams. In fact, Gallo might not get any time since they're planning on keeping him.

zach plays because the most talented offensive big man the team has.

I was just referring especifically to the PG position, because, as bad as it is, Marbury is the only "decent" PG in our team, and Nate... well, we all know he is exactly what a PG must not be. I dont mind losing games at this point, but Nate as a PG will make going to MSG look similar than going to the circus, and thats too much for me!!! As for the rest, that line-up is ok for what we have, which is (almost) the most disfunctional team in the league. I just dont know who will get the boards... aaahhh, anyway, as much as Walsh have said he wants the Knicks to be competitive since day one, we all know we will lose 50+ games for sure. I just hope, like someone said, that D'Antoni have the guts to go out and lose 60 games while trying to increase the value of our players and develop Chandler and Gallinary.

They may bet the players who are the most talented, but I dont think the traditional Curry/Zach/Q/Craw/Marbs lineup would do any better. How many games last season did that lineup get us in a hole, only to have Lee and Nate bring us back
