would you deal lee for kyle lowry, the lakers pick they own next year, and memphis' pick in 2010 (when the knicks pick goes to the utah jazz thanks to the marbury trade).

i think lowry would be a great guy to build around, he plays hard, is defense-first and would thrive in an up-tempo system. it also gives the knicks two picks next year and a pick a year later when they don't have one.

this is the kind of deal we should be looking to do- in fact, I'd be ok with some protection on their 2010 pick. We gain a year as far as having to potentially pay lowry as well.

I don't think this is bad for memphis. I'm not sure Lowry fits into their plans- I haven't seen him play, but from his stats, its not like he appears to be a sure thing.

Perhaps we can send them Lee & Crawford?

Exactly........Lowry has shown the same type of promise that Lee has. Lee has a better rep and gosh darn it people like him so maybe the Knicks can get something extra. Then again Warrick is better than Lee right now.....

Lowery has shown the same promise as Lee??? LOL

The hard on for Lowery is too much for me, this guy is going to be out the league in 3 years, more then I can say about myself so I applaud him.

a team would do that but those first rounders are going to be lame. If its the Lakers your looking at a couple picks in the 20s

They are not giving us two 1st round picks for Lee. At most, you might get a Lowry and protected 1st round pick for Lee and that is only because they have no PFs or than Arthur.

Why don't we just demand 5 1st rd picks while we're at it?

If we could have gotten the 5th overall pick for Lee than we could probably get two firsts from a team who doesn't see itself as lotto likely

The more and more you think about it Bueno Udrih might be the perfect guard to run the D'Antoni system. I rather give Beuno a chance than Hinrich, he make 9 million. The knicks can facilitate a sign and trade with Sac and send them Lee and a future protected one pick.

i like lowry, but he's not really a playmaker/passer. he's a decent defender, but he doesn't have the size to guard two guards. so, i dunno, i feel like there has to be a better option for PG, especially if we're giving up lee.

Check their stats.....both are super subs that put up respectable stats for their respective positions.

Easy with the hard on comments. We just discussing basketball and the Knicks.

If anything....what's with the hard on for David lee? He's not the only power fwd in the league. Who is to say he won't be out the league or a jouneyman by the time he finishes his career?

i think the grizzlies would be looking to move lowry because they have conley and crittendon. conley could be the right guy to go after, but i like lowry more to be honest. people who don't like lowry are looking at his stats and writing him off, if you've watched this guy i can't see how you wouldn't like him. he's absolutely relentless defensively, and he is very tough to stop off the dribble. came out of nova as a sophomore, he's only 22.

the grizzlies have nothing up front -- hakim warrick weighs about 150 pounds, darko is darko, kwame brown started for them last year for god sakes! lee could start and avg 12 boards a game for them, and lowry playing 40 minutes for d'antoni would flourish, i think it works for both teams. plus memphis is giving up a pick owed to them (they still have one next year even after the trade) and then a future first rounder which people throw around all the time.

lowry would be unquestionably the best defender on the knicks. in d'antoni's offense i think he'd absolutely come into his own and be a star. if nothing else watch the clips to see lowry abuse briggs' boy ben gordon:
