How is Lee the only one singled out in the media

If Lee cant play in this system who can. Even Steve NAsh was quoted as saying Lee could play in any system. Crawford hold the ball too much and noone else can run the floor fast enough for MDA. If Lee cant play in the system what is Balkman, JJ1, JJ2, Zach, Curry, Quentin too fat, Mardy, thinking?

I think Lee gets singled out because out of those players you mentioned he is the only one with any value. They should at least give Lee a shot at the system in my opinion. Its not even training camp yet!

yeah, i think that's likely. i just hope they aren't vindicative with lee and they look at all options before deciding to move him at all costs because I think that will lead to us getting less of a return for him.

Lee is going to be very good in this system. He's going to start, for one.. and he's going to be able to use his short game with either hand in a secondary fast break. If they can get fair value for him.. though, you have to consider it. Adding to the cap.. even for a player that deserves it.. at this point may be prohibitively expensive. That is unless we get rid of our Doughboy front court mates.

the fact that msg network and gus johnson actually said that the knicks told him david lee doesn't fit with mike d'antoni is just baffling. i'm not sure what's going on but at what point did the team sour on david lee so much? even all of walsh's pressers, he barely mentioned lee at all. the organization is still doing some real bush league petty stuff.

Thats because Balkman is like Travis Knight, he's a hard worker that wont get fair market value and well like most white men he cant jump.

It is as simply as this: Walsh did not draft Gallinari to sit on the bench. He cannot get rid of Randolph, Lee does not shoot well enough to be a SF, and Lee is not big enough to be a center. Thus, the only way Gallinari gets significant minutes is if he takes minutes from Lee. Since Lee has solid trade value, he is the odd man out.

This is also consistent with our strategy of having caproom in 2010. We would have to extend Lee if we keep him. If we trade him, that is one less high salary on the roster because Chandler and Gallinari will both still be in their rookie deals.
