I don't want to hear anymore talk of all you expert GM's of how
this or that GM should just trade down since the guy they want is
a reach at the position where they're selecting. Did you see what
happened with Westbrook yesterday? People thought we should trade
down to 10 because Westbrook was a reach at 6. You never know what
is going to happen above you. Select who you want, not who others want.
Value pick is B.S.

Uhhhh Bayless was projected in almost every draft to go ahead of Westbrook. Could you please explain why he fell to pick 11 and then tell us how he was turned into Brandon Rush, Jarrett Jack, and Josh McRoberts.

Exhibit Z of why we should have traded down.

How does that prove anything? You didn't need to trade down to get Bayless.
We could have picked him up at 6. All the more reason to stay as high as possible
so that unexpected slips can be capitalized on when its your turn. The Nets have
been the benefactors of slips now twice in the past 3 years. Good for them.

You stay at the best position you can to have the most options when its your turn.
Targeting a single player and then saying, well, I'll trade down cause he'll be
available at a lower spot is nonsense (Westbrook). You have proved nothing.

You trade Pick 6 and maybe a player Like Crawford down to maybe pick 11 for Daniels and pick 41. Daniels has a TO next yr you dump his contract pick Bayless @ 11 and maybe see if you can send (pick 41 maybe even another second rounder and cash) to a team picking above 41 and possibly land CDR, Sonny Weems, Chalmers, Jordan.

Countless number of quality players slipped in this draft.

Every year, there are countless options. Also every year most players drafted amount to nothing. Do your homework, and just pick the guy you think will be one of the ones that amount to something in the league.
