Q getting about 30 minutes a game? Then you have Chandler, Jeffries, and Balkman.

Q is done. Marbs you can't count on.

I have reason to believe that a deal with Charlotte is going to happen and I can't see how a Felton deal will work under the CBA rules, so here's the team I think we're going forward with...

Augustine
Craw
Chandler
Gallinari
ZBo?

Bench - Nate, Balkman, Jeffries, Curry
Alan Hahn: Nate Robinson has been on a ridonkulous scoring tear lately (remember when he couldn't hit Jerome James with a Big Mac in early January?)

I dont think Augustine is going anywhere.

What is this I saw on ESPN about some early termination option on Marbury? Can we get rid of him soon?

Well--I agree that it looks like he is a 4 not a 3. I wonder what guys like KG Jermaine Oneal Dwight Howard will do to him and how well he will rebound the ball. I dont think he has that explosion that a Lee or an Alexander has that really translates well in NBA basketball in terms of rebounding. If he was only getting 4 rebounds a game in the euro--we can expect a large diaprity from our 4 position. I still come back to the saying Rebounds and defsne =rings and I have not seen 1 year where this did not come true. So Gallinari will need to grab 11-12 rebounds and score better than 15 on 58% shooting points to justify letting Lee go because that was a fair projection from Lee in uptempo--anyone disagree??? Also I think Lee weighs between 245-260.

If we buyout Marbury, it SHOULD be:
Craw
Q
Fried Gallinari
Lee
Zach

That's 4 shooters (5 if Lee can gain confidence), 3 rebounders, 3 or 4 guys who can pass, plus Crawford can board too, and that lineup has size. The defense is a major issue but this is only a start. David Lee should NOT be traded at this point. Where the hell else ar we gonna get another big?

if gallinari plays the 4, then the knicks would need SERIOUS defensive upgrades at the 5 and 3. and i mean SERIOUS.

briggs - knicks are NOT in the business of trying to win a ring. they want to sell tix, create a buzz and make money.

If he is a four you should have traded down and got Randolph. DG averged 5.7 rebounds in the rugged euroleague. If you have Curry and DG inside you may never get a rebound.

Briggs, I agree. I would be assinine to let Lee go without even giving him a shot, especially with our lack of quality bigs. Zach can board and score, but that's about all, and opposing teams don't even take him seriously. We need rebounders, ESPECIALLY with our lack of defense. NO rebounding, besides Zach plus NO defense = worse than 23 win seasons, and Mike D'Antoni is gonna learn that even he can't prevent that.

Chandler at the three would help with rebounding and defense.
The center position is not a match, but if we play ZBo there maybe the lane will be open for Craw and whoever the other guard is to penetrate.

Walsh said that he and the Knicks medical staff that DG is still growing and could be 6 11 or 7 feet. Walsh said he will be a 4. I think Mike D vision for the Knicks future is Wilson Chandler at 3 and DG at the 4. He likes both guys because they can spread the floor. The MSG expert said that he believes Zack/Curry will play the 5. Walsh also said that DG will be in the rotation in the fall. I think Zack will get the Nod because he bounds and can spread the floor.

We can go with Lee at 5. What the use of Zack/Curry in D'Antony system?
Lee\Gallinari\Chandler\Craf\Nate - here you go with <7 sec offense and 0 defense.
All the rest - get read of the crap....

Plus ZBo is the least likely to make a stink about not starting. Eddy is so passive he will just take it up the arse and say "Thank you sir, may I have another?".

Lee doesn't have the mass to play 5 on regular basis, he has trouble with the 4.
