What I dont understand is they let Nesto walk, and then took Spree in a trade. Now why didnt they just do a swap of Nesto and Spree plus some filler? The Knicks didnt need Van Horn they needed a true center. And I thought McHale wanted nothing to do with the Knicks players? Looks like the Wolves are going to be pretty nasty next year, I rate them right below the Lakers in terms of off season additions. Spree will be an awesome addition to that team and I wish him the best of luck.

Spree will be okay- it's the Knicks who are screwed.
Another season, and more adversity to persevere through. We will get the job done, even BETTER than last year. GO KNICKS!

It's possible that Nesto didn't want to come to NY, and all that talk was his agent attempting to use the Knicks to boost his value.

I am sad to see Spree go, and I am not too happy about KVH however I am not going to hate on him just yet. I think as fans we owe it to the players to give them the benfit of the doubt at first. If we show them some love maybe they will show us some too. This team could be mildy exciting next year.

Yeah Andrew you're right. Players always use NY as leverage. Not any more.

Oasis, just curious... Have you read what is being reported about our team right now???

LayDown shows us NO "love".

Yes I have read...and yes I do agree with you that this is pretty awful. Sometimes I wonder what that front office is smoking, oh wait - they dont smoke anything. Maybe thats the problem.

I am in no way a KVH fan, did not want to see Spree go, at least not for KVH. But he is a Knick now...too bad we cant haze him in the locker room and scare him out of town.

you make a great point Oasis. maybe the 4 team trade talks took place after the nesterovic fiasco. maybe just a twist of fate. but yeah GO SPREWELL FREE AT LAST!
all those years as a fan and now i'm the anti-knick. life is crazy aint it.

Look at it this way. Mchale did not want any knick players for his good players. The knicks wanted Wally, Mchale was not having it. And to sign and trade with nesto either the knicks would have to pay nesto a lot of jack to make the salaries match or the wolves would have to take on more salary, which was also a no-no for any knicks players. So this trade allows him to get spree and his short contract and eliminate Brandons huge but short contract. It is basically Brandon for spree as far as the wolves are concerned, and if they are going to pay out 11+ mil they migh as well have a body on the floor that can play ball..

That is true tkf, And management wanted him out at any cost and got the only thing we could have got for him that wasn;t another shooting guard something for him.
JAMES DOLAN on Isiah : He's a good friend of mine and of the organization and I will continue to solicit his views. He will always have strong ties to me and the team.

Well the drama he'll catch in NY WILL drive him outta town (and hopefully LayDown, Doh!-lan, and Done Chaney too).
