did msg really say that? why in the blue heck is msg talking about lee like this? if they want to trade lee, then cool, but for gus to come out an apparently say that the knicks don't think lee will fit, before he's even traded, sounds very weird. i thought this type of stuff left with isiah.

yep. Gus said it tonight. He said it got that from various people in the organization that Mike D says he does not fit his system. I was shock but Breen back him up as well about the talks.

that's fine they think this. that doesn't matter. but to actually voice this before he's even traded? lee is as good as gone...there's no way he's coming back to this team. crazy.

I don't think Gus was acting on his own either. He sounded like it was just a matter of fact that Lee is being shop because he doesn't fit the system.

Why are they singling out Lee for not fitting the system? If Lee doesn't fit there's about 6 others that don't as well

i think Zach Eddie, Jerome, are perfect fits and that is why Lee is expendable

1) he has the most trade value
2) already been reported that Mike D was down on Lee back in the 05 draft because he lack an outside shot (I never heard some much talk about spreading the floor then I hear tonight on MSG
3) Walsh already indicated that Lee needed to improve his defense to play at 4 (don't know why he doesn't have a problem with DG's defense if he expects him to play)

Lee is your best inside defender compared to Curry and Zach and the Italian wont be able to guard anyone at the four that is comical

I been confused about the issues that both Walsh and Mike D have with Lee. I think it is more payback about that potential # 5 pick.

i don't get this either... how does D Lee not fit into a run & gun style? he's the best finisher on the break on this team & he's a great passer off defensive rebounds to start the breaks... he seems like a very good fit to me.

When did they say this? I've been watching since the draft ended, and all the two of them said was that if DG is a 4 some of the other 4's like Randolph and Lee might be shopped. They didn't say anything about Lee not fitting or various sources in the segment I saw with the two of them.

I know right. Mike said some strange things tonight like the fact that the Knicks have been scouting for years and their international scout have been almost shacking up with him. He claimed he relied on their input.

When did Gus Johnson say he didn't fit? I didn't catch that and I'm pretty sure I watched the whole episode of MSG NY. I heard them say that because Walsh sees DG as a PF, that one of Lee or Zach will probably be moved. I didn't hear any one single Lee out as not fitting in the system.
