The Knicks have thrown away a chance at a first rd talent in either DeAndre Jordan, Chris Douglas-Roberts or Bill Walker.

It had nothing to do with Demetrius Nichols, it had to do with throwing away an asset.

CDR should be a Knick if not for Isiah throwing away an asset.

Everybody who said that wasn't a big deal, show your face and man up.

He was the only one who knew he had no space on his roster for the player but threw away the asset anyway.

Oh I remember those discussions.

We could have told the Blazers to pick Ramon Sessions who many have suggested would be a great off-season addition as a point guard who was picked 3 spots lower than Nichols but whatever second rounders mean nothing.

Oh and let's not forget the non guaranteed contracts they sign.

These geniuses kept harping on Nichols when it had nothing to do with him. It had everything to do with the asset being thrown away. Now it's tangible and you know who the asset could have been used on.

Exactly its never about who was picked vs having the asset in hand and being able to utilize it however you want to.

Thank you Isiah. Great trade.

LOL Minnesota traded Chalmers(game winner in the NCAA Championship game) 34th pick a second rounder for 2 future second rounders and cash considerations. Second rounders are worthless.

Agree with you guys

CDR could have been the missing piece in our upcoming dynasty

Could have been the Scottie to Gallinari's Jordan

Seriously, at the end of the day, bad move, but not one worth bitching about. Less than 10% of the 2nd rounders taken actually go on to have careers worth mentioning

I'd rather have a 10% chance than zero chance. And regardless, when you have no assets, it's about accumulating some.

There are so many things to be upset about though, that this one slips through the cracks

We better have hit gold on Gallinari because we won't own our first in 2010 and according to many scouts next years draft has the potential to be the worst in a while

Here's hoping though that we added a building block for the future in place tonight though. By the time we have cap room and flexability to improve the roster he will only be 21-22

i dunno why but it seems almost every year around drafttime people proclaim it to be the most deep draft in years whereas a month or so leading up to it people are only hyping a few prospects that everyone's talking about... i've seen playa hype up a few good looking prospects that will be available next season already & i'm sure there will be plenty more where they came from... the proof is always in the pudding when these guys get on the floor... i wouldn't get discouraged about next year's draft right now.
