Addition of Danilo could be the end of David

The selection of Italian forward Danilo Gallinari could mean the end of David Lee’s Knicks career.

I’m hearing that the Knicks could be working on a deal with the Charlotte Bobcats to acquire point guard Raymond Felton for Lee, who played for Bobcats coach Larry Brown.

Coincidentally, the Bobcats selected Texas point guard D.J. Augustin with the ninth overall pick. Charlotte’s second point was French center Alexis Ajinca.

When Mike D’Antoni coached the Phoenix Suns he gave the front office a the thumbs-down to drafting Lee because he felt that Lee wasn’t a good enough shooter.

The Knicks had spoken to the Memphis Grizzlies about trading Lee and Malik Rose before the draft to acquire the fifth pick.

Felton is nice but if this is true sorry

Lee & Augustin>>>>>>Danilo & Felton

Plus isn't Felton considered a midget or is this not the case since Lee is Snake Venom.

Felton is a damn good player. An unselfish, quick PG who can dicatate the pace. Nice A/TO- he'd be an awesome get. Lee/Balkman for Felton is a trade I'd do....

Not good enough?! Felton averaged 14 and 7 last year and would excell in D'Antoni's up tempo offense as he orchestrated North Carolina's fats break to a championship. How is trading a back-up PF for a legit starting pg not good enough?

agreed... 14 & 7 are nice #'s & he played well at MSG on several occasions when they came in to play us... he'd be a nice addition... i would hate to lose Lee but we gotta think about addressing team balance right now... if Gallinari's gonna be used as a 4 then it makes sense to trade Lee to fill the need at the PG spot.

That would be fair. Neither one shoots well. Lee's a strong rebounder while Felton's a good passing pg.

I think it balances things out quite well. I like Lee as much as anyone not named King, but this the kind of move that makes a ton of sense for the Knicks. I like Felton more than Bayless or Augustin from this draft, for example.

anyway we can trade Nate along w/Lee for Felton & CHA's protected 1st rounder next season? i think that would be some good forward type thinking that would benefit us nicely down the road.

What about Lee + Malik for Felton + Morrison.
