If you watch Gallinari's tapes--he is sitting 30 feet from the basket 1/2 the time. He doesn't have the bounce lee has and it would be difficult almost blasphemy to assume this player can contribute anything CLOSE in terms of rebounding and overall player efficiency. David Lee is a dog--and I mean that in a good way--he is a pitbull and we cant replace pitbulls with golden retrievers. Look at the NBA finals--look at what Toronto just did. If we go soft all over the place---gruesome

We want to rid ourselves of randolph and curry rebounds like a pssy--so i guess we go anti magic johnson defense and rebounding =sht.

I agree - Galli strikes me as a 6'10" shooting guard.

Why can't we keep it simple, again: take Westbrook, keep Lee.

that's the scenario we come away with the best two players. we aren't moving up for Mayo.

Westbrook and Lee. What the **** is wrong with that?

cryz--you know for better or for worse this is the deal. The problem I kind of have here--if Gallinarti is so good--why isnt he going 4 or 5 and why doe rod Thord seem to be licking his chops at us taking this player? If we pick him I will root for him like I did Charles oakley but he will have a LOT on his shoulders to produce quickly. He wont be guarded by a 6-5 player from greece he will be checked by guys like lebron

i don't buy that. he'll be there at 6. clippers will get him at 7, or worse larry brown will get him at 9.

Gallinari is being held by due to his being a Euro. It's harder to really get a comfort level with his game. I do feel he'd be a decent pick, by that I mean I think he'll be better than Bargnani by a longshot. I would love to see the Knicks get both Westbrook and Gallinari. So yeah i'd love to trade Lee for the chance to have those two.

Our luck, we'll pick him and he'll stay in Europe.

If we take Galinari, that will make it 3 years in a row we would have drafted small forwards (Balk 06, Chandler 07). And we would have added 5 SF's over the lest 4 years if you include JJ2 and Q.

What are we going to do with 5 SF's?

Yeah, but we have a glut at every position. It's annoying as hell. I think trades are nescessary at this point. We don't even have enough roster space.

haha, Gallinari and Curry, I didn't think they could have a worse front line than ZBO/Curry. god, if this pick happens, I've already given up on next season.

open system, gallinari will score some points. the problem is that the knicks will look to repeat as one of the worst defensive teams in the league.

We are going to do something crazy like bypass Bayless for Galinari because the NY Knicks give promises every year for the last 7 years. Tell me Gallinari is not a promise at 6--look at the board--he would fall like a rock to 13 if we didnt pinch him at 6. Were going to give up a world class athlete like bayless for this guy? Not to mention other players? this is a reach a horrible reach like channing frye. Im neutral on Gallinari but it will end up a wrong move because of the reach. Ill give the Knicks 6 for 10+ 21 right now and Ill get gallinari at 10

and then we wil trade david lee for a POC secondary reach imho.

for a guy who's so "neutral" on Gallo it sure sounded to me that you thought Gallo was gonna be a huge reach where we picked him.

Why do you get bothered by what he says so much? If he truely doesn't approve of him drafting him at 6, then he doesn't approve of it.
