NY lost 88-77 but this snipit from the recap is nice.

Maciej Lampe played well for New York, scoring 25 points, connecting on 10-18 field goals, grabbing 11 rebounds.

I just read that off NBA.com. Early last week he was looking like a massive bust. Only a week later he's putting up double doubles. Incredible.

Maybe we can plug him in at center, slide Thomas back against players his own size... and start KVH at SF. We'll worry about the defensive consequences later.

I hope we don't try to convert Sweetney into a SF.

How can a guy be a massive bust after Game 3 in a summer league? A little much, don't you think?

Well, in the earlygoing his feet moved like they were chained to the floor and he was getting dunked on left and right... flashes of Weis's last visit to summer camp.

I have also noticed that Lampe has been getting significant minutes...something that should carry over into the regular season. In terms of position I think he is a SF/PF - I would not put him at the 5. Having KT at the 5 and Lampe and Van Horn together at the 3 and 4 would be pretty nasty if this kid can play with the big boys. Height isnt as big of an issue as it used to be...but we have other problems to work on.

I noticed that Sweetney DNP, coaches decision. Is he nursing a sore something or other? Anyway, last week, I alluded to the fact that the Knicks were playing games on consecutive days with no breaks--- and that most of their tip offs were at noon.

Perhaps more sleep and game-day practice is helping Maciej catch his rhythm.

BTW--- they show summer league highlights on channel 400, on TW digital cable. I'm not enough of a fan to pay for summer league pass.

Yeah until recently, that channel used to be NBA TV, where we would've been able to watch those games in their entirety.
Another season, and more adversity to persevere through. We will get the job done, even BETTER than last year. GO KNICKS!
