What does everyone think about Lee chances of getting traded tomorrow. Portland in my eyes would make the most sense. I think Lee, Curry, or Randolph will be gone after tomorrow

Certainly out of the 3 that you mentioned, Lee is the most enticing to other teams. I hope Lee doesn't get traded but I'm afraid thats the only way we can start to truly rebuild. Unfortunately David is our only commodity.

I'd love to see Zach or Eddy traded but I doubt that happens. If Lee does get traded I hope it's to Memphis for #5.

Like nyk4ever said, Lee is the most valuable player that our team has to offer. If there is any kind of trade going down, I think Lee will be gone. Its sad because hes a great player to watch, and I think that NYK fans appreciate his hustle and heart the same way we did with Starks, Oakley, and Sprewell. Ill be sad to see him in another uniform posting 15-15 games in the garden.

Im still hoping that we trade Lee to the Grizz for the 5th.

Trade down with the nets
Pick #6 for #10 and #21

take Gallinari, Augustine, and Speights.

If Zach has to play for a another year than thats fine. If we can get rid of Eddy than the post wont be so clogged, and at least Zach can board. Well pump up his value a little bit and maybe well have an easier time next year moving him. If the Knicks win 35 games and Zach puts up 20 and 10 he might be a little more moveable (plus one less year on his contract)

Then trade the 5th for #10 and #21 and take Gallinari with the 6th. trading for the #5th wasnt so we could take Gallinari, it was so we can grab 2 additional picks in the draft.

I'm saying you don't need to get the #5 if you want Gallinari.
The price on the 8th or 9th pick may be cheaper, so that you would not have to give up Lee to get it. So you can get #8 or #9 + trade the #6 for 10 & 21 and still have Lee.

Personally, if you were going to get the #5, I'd keep both #5 and #6 and maximize my chances at really coming away with an impact player.

I would love to not give up Lee in order to get the #8 or #9, but theres no way that you can get those picks without giving up Lee either.

I don't understand why the Knicks aren't buying picks if they're available, as seems to be the case (Portland).
The new new core: Randle, RJ, IQ. Maybe Mitch. Future pick. Future trade. Future FA.

I saw that the papers were talking about Lee for the #5. I would have to believe that there is more to it than that.

It would be a strange trade because even though Lee will probably always be a better player than half the lottery-draftees this year, he is not really a "lottery talent".

So I would think the Knicks have to make that trade if it is true, but they could still easily get the worst of it.

Another funny thing is the Lakers got Gasol without giving up a player as good as Lee.

The Grizzlies are crazy. I don't know what the hell is going on over there. Maybe Stern has designated them the NBA's big market resuscitator!

All the Knicks' moves are about showbiz anyway. They aren't really gunning for a championship.

Good luck Mike D'Antoni, 'cause you ain't never seen nothing like this before!
