for Kurt Thomas. This would be one of the worst trades ive seen in a while. His character alone should stop any thoughts of pulling the trigger. He also have voiced his displeasure of big cities. He is a certified weed addict. He is a good shotblocker but lacks a power post up game. If it came down to it id rather have Stromile Swift who doesnt have so many issues and is a player with alot more potential.

i'd do it... KT has peaked, its all downhil from here. Keon is a camby-like player who can rebound, defend, block shots, and take it to the hole if needed. keon can also play center, it would be dumb not to make this trade.

Falcindor- your not going to get Swift for Kurt. So that's not even an option. A weed addict? Include half the NBA in the chronic club. He's a defensive presence that comes off the cap in two years, blocks shots and can run the floor. We need a shot blocker in the worst way. KT is expendable with Sweetney, Lampe, Harrington, McDyess, and Vranes.

Keon is a true center, young, athletic, and a shot-blocker. I would love to trade Thomas for Clark. Rumor was sacramento was going to be the 5th team in the deal, sending Clark to New York for Thomas, but ESPNews just reported that Indiana was the 5th team and they are no longer in the mix. So the deal will probably get done as the original 4-team trade. Hopefully we can still get Theo Ratliff or Keon Clark for Thomas in a separate deal.

I thought that Keon may not be a good idea at first, but I now think that he'll do much better in the East. I like KT because he's no chump and shows shades of finesse at times, but Keon is more athletic and is also no punk. It works in realGM straight up (#1154281), so that trade can happen w/o complications.
Another season, and more adversity to persevere through. We will get the job done, even BETTER than last year. GO KNICKS!

Who on this team is not expendable?

I'll believe this move when I see it. I can hear Layden now "Oooh, that Keon Clark, he dunks the ball so hard, thats bad character".

The Knicks committment to mediocrity. "JUST GET ALONG BABY"

Scott LayDown will get Keon if Keon agrees to get hooked on valium and only shoot jumpers and baby layups.

He'll fit right in then.

Just wondering and I'll throw it out to everyone looking: How tall is Keon Clark? And is he really starting material if he has to back up Vlade? Or is that b/c of Vlade's contract?

He's 6'11 with a wingspan of around 7'2. Also with Brad Miller likely going to Sactown, they should be even more comfortable trading Keon for Thomas because they have two real good, true centers and now they need a pf to start the beginning of the season and back up Webber during the rest of the season.

I haven't seen much of Keon except in the playoffs. He seems to lack a post up game. He's all put-backs and open court play. He's like poor mans Camby, but at least Camby had a jumper. Can someone give me the scoop. Are with better with KT or Keon?

We're better off with Kurt because of his physical play and sweet jump shot. He's a good post player defender and has held his own vs the big boys in the NBA something Clark wouldn't be able to do. ALso, Clark has not jump shot and weighs only 225pd @6'11. TWEENER!!

we dont need Keon taking jump shots... we'll have houston, Kvh, and sweetney(possibly) taking the majority of the shots. keon will be in their to rebound and defend and clean up, put back baskets..he would be a perfect fit and could average a double double on our team.

Now that we got Tin Man Horn on our team we need all the agressiveness we can possibly muster. I'd make the Keon deal happen.

Who knows with Scott LayDown, though.

HELL NOOOOO! We don't need weedman over here. That dude weighs 215 to 220pds, thats less than Camby. Can you imagine??? He won't be able to hang with the big boys in the league. They'll overpower him with excessive force and brute strength. That's where Kurt is smart cause he bangs inside but draws the opposing big men near the 10 to 15ft jump shot area( not 3 pt area). Also, Keon is known for not being a hard worker, he's lazy!!

OK bb, maybe it would take someone you want here shipped out by LayDown for you to finally get it that LayDown is NO GOOD FOR THIS TEAM.

KT cant defend anywhere near what keon is capable of... KT cant even jump or dunk the ball.

You do have a point there, Jay. Keon is significantly more athletic.
