about DJ Augustin? I know the kid can play but his size and a lack of dynamic athletic ability should eliminate him from consideration, right? Has he been worked out by the Knicks?

This is the kind of guy who has no clue and will be the first one to criticize the second it doenst workout. In terms of size and explosion Augustin is nearly 2 full inches shorter than Chris Paul[which is a lot] and on the standing vertical is roughly 4 inches shorter. Chris Paul has certainly put on muscle[filledout] in the NBA while Augustin's body type won't allow him to get much bigger[he's already at 8+% body fat which would kick him off a Pat Riley team at only 172 pounds] He's the kind of guy who may look really good in workouts and on tape--but the *reality* is he will have to play many guys who are much bigger than him and his range of skills will be exploited by people who are much longer and bigger. Atleast with Bayless he is a sure-fire upper tier talent with grea physical size and strength. Chaucey Billups was similar[picked3rd] out of Colorado in terms of his phsical package and game[remember it took him time to develop the PG skills and was actually booted a round a bit] but at the end of the day Chaucey Billups had the physical make up to be a star and a champion and he did that. Does anyone and I mean anyone look at DJ Augustin and see a champioship caliber type athlete? Can anyone name a player similar at his dimunitive size in the NBA with his lack of explosion excell in a big way?

Nick Van Exel? He was listed at 6-1, but I don't know how true that was....

Van Exit is 3 inches taller.

I think Terrell Brandon/Jameer Nelson is the best comp.

I like the Brandon/Nelson comparison.
