Knicks pass on Bayless to pick Gallinari.

Westbrook to the Sonics at 4! Bayless falls to the Clippers at 6. Kevin Love drops to 9. Brook Lopez at 10 to the Nets. Anthony Randolph at 16. JaVale McGee at 23.

I dont blame him--this is the most bonkers draft in that I have ever seen. If this was the scenario[which I strongly doubt] I would be upset that we bypassed Lopez with Westbrook off the board.

Also all of this hype about Deandre Jordan falling to round 2 isnt going to happen--it would not shock me if he goes 9 and at worst 16--if the snippets in the pre-draft videos mean anything he seems to be doing quite well. To much subterfuge going on. The other Lopez also has jacked up the ladder very high.

It's called covering all bases. Now Ford can say "Well, I did have so and so going at about the so and so pick, don't say I didn't call it".

Briggs would understand that.

If we could get the #5 pick for Lee, I would make that move. I would then draft Bayless and Love. Love easily can replace Lee and Bayless can be the eventual replacement for Marbury. It actually is a smarter move cap-wise because it avoids us having to pay Lee.

No need for the personal dig but whatever. This draft has ben unlike any other draft that I can remember---I can see justifiable wavering up to the day of the draft--we still do not know for sure who is being picked 1.

i think top 6 are locked up:

1. rose
2. beasley (to seattle)
3. brooks
4. mayo (to miami)
5. love
6. westbrook

with 2 & 4 swapping.

Yep really silly and this is what they pay Chad Fraud for to take guesses like anyone else.

How far do you see Bayless dropping?

Thats a tough call. If I'm moving Lee, I would like to move up to 3 or 4 at least where Mayo & Bayless would be sitting. Unless the Knicks are trying to get an additional pick so they can move it with Zach in a salary dump. Maybe the Knicks keep 5, and move 6 with Zach to the Pistons in a package for Rahseed.

I dont see D'Antoni picking Westbrook over Bayless. Bayless perimeter shooting and ability to run the pick and roll will intrigue D'Antoni.

I totally agree. It'll be very interesting to see who they take if both of those guys are available. Bayless is a D'Antonio type player, Westbrook is a very good defensive player and needs work on his offense so he's nowhere near a D'Antonio type player. If Walsh is serious about getting D'Antonio his type of players then Bayless will be the pick. If Walsh is looking to build a well balanced team, then Westbrook should be the pick. Unfortunately, I think it'll be the former.

I don't think there is any chance in the world that Bayless would drop past the Knicks. D'Antoni absolutely loves him.

I don't call trading D-Lee for the #5 pick in a strong draft a tough call.

You are only picking up an extra year of Cardinal's deal and at a minimum you can take K-Love at #5 who projects significantly higher than D-Lee.

You could also go back-court at #5 and #6 with say Westbrook and Gordon.

You could use either Nate or Craw to help faciliate at decent Zach deal.

It would be unbelievable if we pulled off this deal and we came away with Mayo and Love. I think those 2 would be special together in NYC.
