Daily News

"In Thursday's draft, the Knicks are thinking they'll have a shot to get a guard at No. 6 from among Arizona's Jerryd Bayless, UCLAs Russell Westbrook or Indiana's Eric Gordon. Seattle (No. 4) is very high on Westbrook, but not where the Sonics are drafting. The Bucks are sending out strong signals that they like LSU's Anthony Randolph at No. 8. A legitimate 6-10, Randolph has been called a cross between Tayshaun Prince and Odom. But West Virginia small forward Joe Alexander, a hard-nosed worker, is seen as a better fit with new coach Scott Skiles. ...

Portland is shopping its pick (No. 13), hoping to include it in a package with G Jarrett Jack and Travis Outlaw for a veteran shooter, such as Memphis' Mike Miller. … Seattle is looking to move veteran F Chris Wilcox, while also trying to move up two spots to No. 2 for Michael Beasley. Miami could move down to the Sonics' spot to grab O.J. Mayo, who has been working out in recent weeks in Chicago with Dwyane Wade. But the Sonics don't have a lot to offer Miami. Mayo's work ethic has been compared to Bryant's - which is really saying something - and his vertical leap was measured at 40 inches. … Minnesota is leaning toward taking UCLA's Kevin Love at No. 3, meaning Stanford's Brook Lopez could fall to Indiana at 11. … At 10, the Nets reportedly are locked in on F Danilo Gallinari. … Chicago is saying it will take Derrick Rose or Beasley, but the bet here is Rose. … Sacramento is hoping that Georgetown C Roy Hibbert is available at No. 12, and he should be."

Minnesota is the absolute mystery of this draft. If they take Love (I'm sure we all hope they do) would Seattle snatch up Mayo or stick with Bayless? In this scenario, we would really have to figure out a way to swap with seattle. Might have to take Wilcox off thier hands ina salary dump as well.

I forgot Jamal Crawford and his 40% FG (33% from 3) percentage was a shooter.
Thank you, Rick Brunson.

Yeah its all speculation....who the hell knows. I guess as aKnick fan, the Minny part caught my eye becaue nobody really knows what they are going to do. As far as Hibbert is concernded, maybe Hawes has been unimpressive in practices and Sac needs to rectify the miistakes form last year. Or Hawes may project as a PF for them.

Hawes is good. He played well down the stretch. It has to do with conditioning and injuries with him. I seriously doubt they take Hibbert. They have other needs.

if mayo slips to 6 for the knicks, the knicks would be the draft winners hands down no questions asked.

If Mayo slips to us at 6, maybe we could package him with Lee to get Beasely.

Mayo isnt slipping, this is just pre-draft hype. Nice to dream though.

Only way knicks get him is to trade up (if thats possible)

No doubt. All we can do is cross our fingers.
