It seems every other post in this forum has #6 and Curry, Zach or Lee going somewhere for a lower pick and filler. Each of these players does have some baggage. Curry can't board or play, Zach can't coexist with Curry and doesn't play D, Lee isn't quick enough for small F and doesn't play D. On the positive side, how many players in the draft are a guaranteed 20 ppg like Curry, how many players in the draft are a guaranteed 20 and 10 like Zach and finally how many guaranteed double doubles are there in the draft like Lee. Maybe it is the player but the combination of them together. Remove a piece and the value and results of the remaining pieces work better together. I see no reason to give up the 6 and one of the others to move down since what we give up has a minimum base performance certainty. We can't spend the next 3 years waiting for someone who may not want to come here, may sign an extension in the interim, suffer an injury etc. Maybe someone comes along and is available 4 years from now.

Yes we have to fix our mix-Curry should be worth something-maybe mid to late 1st round. Move Zach to Center-yes he's undersized and still may not play D but will still get u 20 and 10, Lee is workout warrior and has improved his O each year (neither Jordan nor LBJ came in the League with a consistent J) and Lee and will have the minutes if Curry is gone. Just an example and pardon the rant.

I think you make some valid points. To be honest this team could play better than it has with some adjustments. Still we all want more than for the team to be a little better. We want to build a championship contender. Now we may differ on how to get that done. I don't want to trade our pick just to get rid of salary in hopes we can convince a superstar to come here 2 years from now.

I want to add to the mix of Jamal, Nate, Lee, Chandler and Balkman. I think those guys fit the style of play we want to play. The big concerns are how Curry and Zach fit into all of this. It seems that we'll likely have to deal with at least one of them as we move forward. I see no chance of moving both players.

Zach is truly a rare player... 20 & 10 type seasons & still unable to get his teams into the playoffs... all that & he comes packaged with a max contract that clogs up the payroll for another 3 years & acts like a New Jack City mobster off the court... i can't imagine why teams wouldn't want him.

you may see no reason in wanting to unload his contract but from every indication it seems like Donnie Walsh, the guy who we just hired to fix this franchise & probably knows more about building successful NBA franchises than everyone posting on this forum combined, is looking very deeply into doing just that... he must have a good reason.

I don't want to get rid of Zach just for the sake of getting rid of him. He is a talent and it appears that he cannot mesh with Curry-ergo one of them should go. My point was that so many here want to combine Zach or Curry or Lee with our 6 to move up or down and I do not believe that what we get in return will match the talent level of what we give up. Further that each of them (Z, C and L) have proven on a major league level what teams can only hope for out of the potential draftees. The only way you make some of questionable proposed trades is if you get a true franchise player in return. Who is the can't miss franchise player in this draft? Everyone seems to have flaws. I understand the addition by subtraction theory but really don't think that they have to be given away when they can fill some team's needs

We'll see. Beauty is in the eyes of the beholder and if we can find some sucker (I mean team) to give us good value for Zack, Eddy, and company, I doubt Donnie Walsh will turn that team down.

like i've been saying for a while, sometimes u gotta make some tough sacrifices in order to achieve the greater outcome over the longterm... nothing says any decision Walsh makes is gonna be the right one but i have to believe he's been weighing all the positives & negatives of trading down to unload Zach's contract very carefully ever since he got here, & if he's seriously considering making that move then it probably means he's got a bigger picture in mind down the road that he thinks is worth our while to go after.
