Westbrook has received a promise and he will not be working out for the Pacers who covet him the most. He may have shut down all workouts. Looks like Fraud has a pulse on some draft situations developing.

I think the team is either the Bobcats or Clippers. I think we could be trying to use Westbrook as a smoke screen because we know 4 teams below us want him. We'd probably trade down no lower than where the Blazers are picking. Westbrook worked out for the Kings and Blazers who are slated to pick 12 and 13 respectively but won't work out for the Pacers who are slated to pick 11. You think if it was our team that made the promise we'd let him work out for the Pacers, they have O'neal and the 11 pick.

This could be a sign that there is a trade in place already between teams 6-9 and all signs says it's the Bobcats, close second Clippers, and darkhorse Knicks.

Westbrook has worked out for....Los Angeles Clippers, New Jersey, New York, Portland, Sacramento

He probably didn't recieve his promise until after his work outs with Sac and Portland. The only two teams I can think of that may have promised to pick him is the Clips or the rumor of Seattle taking him 4 or swapping with us.

Larry Brown had just finished watching Russell Westbrook showcase his speed, athleticism and defensive ability in a pre-draft workout Thursday when the Charlotte Bobcats coach was peppered with questions about the UCLA point guard.

Brown, though, was quick to bring up Raymond Felton. "We've got a pretty good point guard already here," he said. But three years after the Bobcats took Felton with the fifth pick in the draft, they could be faced with a tough decision if Westbrook is still available with the ninth pick on June 26.

Dont see Westbrook getting past us if Bayless and Mayo are gone.

maybe there's a deal in place for the Knicks to trade down w/the Pacers where we get JO & the #11 for Marbs & the #6 & Walsh takes Westbrooke?

After thinking about it, I think Eric Gordon is my top choice for this draft, with Westbrook coming in second.

I can believe but you'd think they'd at least let them see him do some light drills or something. Then again the Pacers made some comments just the other day I',m looking for them. I still say it's the Bobcats going by their personal Mock on NBA.com

My question is this with Eric Gordon--oe for anyone who wants Eric Gordon--what does he bring to the Knicks that will help change the course of the team? He is a 6-3 SG who doesnt shoot a great % he doesnt play very good D + big guards will shoot over him with ease--he shot 38% and under 30% from 3 in the bIg ten. He does not have a good handle and is TO prone. He is not a good rebounder and a reluctant passer--the only thing he reminds me of is the same player that explemifies the sht mess we have now. Explain to me why he should be our pick?

gordon may be a nice player, but a 6-3 SG puts you in a major hole down the road if you really want to take the next step.

I just want someone to explain to me with our roster we have now---what does eric gordon do for this team--I mean if you want someone there has to be a reason? Just another guy who need 20FGAs.

When I say Id like to take Anthony Randolph its because I think that at 6-10++ with his skills given time he could be very special--different a good fit who does other things that the club does not have and fits very well in high tempo--im stating my case--what is the case for gordon?

westbrook didn't work out with the nets:
Charlotte is smitten with Russell Westbrook. And that second part seems like a lock: Arn Tellem told the Nets in the last few days that Westbrook will not work out for them, so he has a guarantee somewhere in the top 9.

Who was a better freshman in college A.I. or Gordon? How tall is Monta Ellis? How tall is Arenas?

iverson is a once in a lifetime type talent - he's in the discussion as possibly the greatest little man to ever play the game. and dominated the college level. gordon has not. i don't think iverson should be brought up here.

monta is a nice player...so is arenas. but those teams are nothing more than 1st round playoff teams. is gordon gonna run the point like gilbert here?

Where is this from DJ?

Realgm has their info wrong or they were going by scheduled workout because their list had him working out form them. Regardless I had the Bobcats as the team giving him the promise going off of some of the clues.

BUT, if the objective is to put together a team of perimeter shooters (despite %'s) and create and up and down team, and gordon will be used like monta...then he would be a decent pick for in a team in that mold.

but my post still holds that a 6-3 SG puts you in a major hole down the road. like the bulls w/ ben gordon.

Have those teams suffered from drafting or signing them? No! Is Gordon someone you try and build around not exactly but he could be a very, very, good piece. I'm saying his height is totally irrelevant to if he has talent to be successful. I think it's more of style of play than anything else.

BTW Beasley is extremely undersized to play the 4 which most teams will see him as does his size equate to failure?

Why do the rules change according to the player we're talking about?
