and get multiple picks. I see a Rush, Arthur, Lee, and Kosta, and Speights you could get between 15-25 and I think some of these guys will be better than Randolph and other men that are supposed to be lottery picks. Trade down and get multiple picks or dump a salary. Wish we were in Boston position and we could trade the draft pick for a player but we have to use that draft pick to dump a salary. Boston traded the number 5 for a guy that has two years left and it worked. Knicks fans dont want to trade 6 to get rid of a huge salary and a cancer

The history of the NBA tells us high draft picks =champiosnhips.---so why do we want to trade down?

What are the chances that King and Briggs is the same guy arguing with himself over and over again?

briggs...i really don't think the knicks are in the market to win titles. if they get lucky across the way, then cool...but history of the nba also tells us defense wins championships. that would make the hiring of d'antoni a eyebrow raiser.

the team is looking to generate excitement, create a buzz with the fanbase, sell tickets and hope to make the playoffs. that's the primary objective for the knicks right now.

I want to trade down to nine and get Ray Felton somehow. No way he will work in LB system and all the UNC point guards play fast.

I still don't want to clusterstarphuck but I agree with what you're saying. I won't even bother to go through the history of the NBA again of what picks 6 lower than 6 have produced.

Actually Felton will work great for LB if he gets him to play a little better defense. Felton can play halfcourt ball A LA Billups.

I would like to trade down and draft Westbrook or DJ. #6 is too high for both of them, but if we could move down to 9 or 10 and pick up another draft pick or prospect, we should make that move. Randolph looks nice but he is rail thin and I doubt he has the quickness to play SF full time. Gordon is an undersized two with a suspect jumper (unless his FG% was solely due to the wrist injury). Westbrook gives you a Rondo like lock down defender at the PG. DJ gives you a competent shooter who can run your offense. #1 priority is ridding ourselves of Marbury and finding a team leader at the pg position.

I think D'Antoni's perfect for the job at hand. He is here to rebuild the Knicks back up the way Pheniox was built back up.

Say in 4yrs down the road we have been a contender but D'Antoni just doesn't win us a championship. So what, we then replace him since im sure by that time coaches will be lineing at the door to coach New York with there then contending roster and try and become a legend or add to there legend or solidify there legend. They then make some tweaks and go after it full thottle.

If all D'Antoni does is make the team a contender then he did his job. If Im Pheniox Suns am I upset over the job D'Antoni has done? Or the roster he left?

agreed King... unless we can trade up to #3 to get Mayo or Beaser, trading down sounds very appealing to me also if we can dump some of the dead weight on this roster.

Billups hated playing for LB. Their respective concepts of what a point guard should be was as contrasting as night and day

billups and brown clashed about chauncey's propensity to launch pull-up 3's in transition and as a 1st option off of high screens.

Billups gave LB 100% credit for making him become a better point guard and he also said Marbury should have listened to LB instead of clashing with him. Billups won an NBA Finals MVP under LB.

Rip and Billups hated his coaching style but stated they came to appreciate what he taught them and saw his way works if you listened to him. Reggie had his difficulty with LB also but as myriads of others stated LB' s Top Notch coach and he knows what he's doing.

Don't forget Allen Iverson. They clashed a lot, especially at the beginning but at the end and up to now, Iverson gives LB a ton of credit for teaching him how to be a better and more successful player in the NBA. Iverson would have gone through a wall for LB, probably still would.

The Larry Brown Experience is one of those things that will make you better but only if you can handle it and can put your ego aside. If you're a crackhead or a pathological egomaniac, then you have no chance.
If it didn’t work in Phoenix with Nash and Stoutamire... it’s just not a winning formula. It’s an entertaining formula, but not a winning one. - Derek Harper talking about D'Antoni's System

billups is admitting the obvious. you can see to this day his decision making in pressure situations is underwhelming sans Brown
and his crediting LB for making him better still doesn't=billups and brown were even the pathmark brand of riley and earvin
