Knicks beat Phoenix 81-73.
I didn't see the game, and I'm just judging from the box scores.

Lampe finally did some rebounding. 17pts, 11rbds, 6-13fg, 3-5 from behind the arc. The Suns played the experienced Jake Tsakalidis at C, so his performance is very promising.

FW did some damage too with 23pts, 7asts, also 3-5 from 3pt land.

Sweetney did not shoot well, but also did some rebounding, 7pts, 2-8fg, 11rbds, 2blocks.

Carroll contributed 9pts, 5rbds, 2stl.

Vranes' stat line was virtually empty with 1rbd in 6 minutes of play.

Frank will shot too much, he should have looked for his teamates more, especially when Lamp went on that tear. But frankie is looking more confident.

Lampe keeps impressing me. The guy is making moves and taking guys off the dribble with his left hand. He went left off the dribble and pulled up with a feathery jumper to beat the buzzer... the kid is 18 and you can see that he will only be better....

One has to ask, why did Layden trade for Van Horn when Lampe looks like he might become a pretty good SF given playing time? He needs to play this year, he needs minutes - he needs to develop. FWill needs to be in there with him, and this team needs to rebuild. Summer league minutes are not enough.

I think the knicks envision lampe as more of a post player and not a 3.

Frank Williams at Forward ???
Mike Sweetney at Guard ???

Did anyone see this game? Are these the correct positions, or are these misprints?

I actually think that the Knicks are planning on playing both Lampe and KVH at the forward spots making them interchangeable. I see Sweetney as the 1st forward off the bench. This only works if we trade KT for a Center.

Because we want to win games. The NBA is not a basketball school. Summer league is. Lampe's not ready to start, but he looks ready to sub maybe 10-15 min. game. That's plenty of playing time.

The Knicks aren't going to sacrifice wins or a playoff spot for the sake of improving a draft pick for next season. That's ludicrous.

Nah,Lampe is not going to learn nothin of the bench aka Postell.Put him in the fire to gain his confidence and game as quickly as he can. Now that SG will find it easier to penetrate we need a shot blocking center.

Ny is not making the playoffs this season as they are today with KVH! Not gonna happen unless Dice comes back and is re-incarnated as the the Dice of Young!

How did Kobe learn? They gave him plenty of minutes not 10-15. How did Dirk learn? They gave him plenty of minutes. How did Amare learn? Yao Ming? The list goes on. They need to play to get better, not sit and rot.

If the Knicks were smart they would sacrifice a playoff spot to make Lampe and Williams better - because if either of them ended up being the calibur of any of the above mentioned players they the playoffs wont be a problem in the future.

I see a problem brewing if you guys think the knicks are gonna give the young guys all those minutes.Too many high salary guys will be on the bench and that wouldn't work well with management, they were hired to play at those big salaries not sit and watch. Blame Layden for that , but he can't keep these high priced role players and then draft top 5 players every yr and play them big minutes.
JAMES DOLAN on Isiah : He's a good friend of mine and of the organization and I will continue to solicit his views. He will always have strong ties to me and the team.

The one thing I like about the FW line was that he did all of this in 26 minutes. 23 points and 7 assists. And only 3 TOs. Nice.

Keep it flowing Frank, keep it flowing.

No pun intended, huh Case? LOL

Well Williams will eventually pass more, but I am glad to hear that he, Sweetney and Lampe are coming along well.
Another season, and more adversity to persevere through. We will get the job done, even BETTER than last year. GO KNICKS!
