You are foolish to think Artest is coming to the Knicks for a MLE. There is no way a player takes less than what he is worth especially when the production is high. You want Artest then sign and trade is your best option. His contract will start in the 10 million +.

Ron Artest on a rebuilding team in NY = stupid. Unneeded and unwanted. He's better off on a contender.

Every single new regime has starphucked to win now--every single one. Do you really think the NY Knicks are not going to bring in a big time player and just rebuild from scratch with a 90mm $ payroll. Take pick 6 and keep that cap space open for 2011--that is the best secondary plan we will have for a rebuild. If you believe that something like this is not coming--welll I would think twice. Also Ron Artest is not getting 10mm + from any team in the nBA--only 3 teams have cap space over the MLE. He said he didnt care about the money and the last time I checked 18mm is more than 8/

There is NO WAY I give Lee 9 million $ a year. I doubt any team would offer him more than 6,5/7 per year. Come on, I like the kid, but he is not that good to sign that contract.

With that line-up we obviously would win some more games than last year, but with one player playing defense in our whole starting 5, I dont see us winning more than 33-35 games.
