contract expire? They are no longer the smallest team in the league, but they sure are the slowest. Oh, how I wish we at least had a drive and dish PG to feed these jump shooters we've accumulated.

I believe his contract is one year longer than Sprewell's.

We led the league in 3's with out one Purple. We will be fine Layden 's job depends on it.

I posted this in another thread, but it applies here too:

From the Daily News-
The Knicks would also be adding a bigger contract to their bloated payroll. Sprewell has two years remaining on his contract that will pay him $26 million. Van Horn is scheduled to make $43million over the next three years.

Another season, and more adversity to persevere through. We will get the job done, even BETTER than last year. GO KNICKS!

Hard core , cmon bro cap issues at this point are meaningless until the yr 2005-2006.

"Meaningless"?!?! WTF are you sayin', man??? That issue has to be worked on NOW. I don't want Knicks management to sit around with their thumbs up their ***es making asinine moves like this one that only prevent us from resolving the cap issues. If these things are addressed now, then by 05/06 we should be in a much better situation.

05/06 we still have Houston's contract and that pretty much guarentees that Knicks won't have enough cap space to sign a big time player....thats why adding an extra year with KVH's contract is meaningless.

Thanks for the insight, Ice. I have been saying the same thing for what seems like forever.

All we gotta do is find a GM more backwards than Scott LayDown. Now THAT'S a challenge!

I agree that we have to at least try. My problem with Knick Management is that they seem to say "oh well we're stuck with him".
It will we hard, no doubt. The other guys you mentioned were post players. It easyer to move them. They need to find a team on the brink of winning who just need one more piece. I looked at all teams in the NBA and none of them fit the bill. Also Juwan got moved with only two years left. Allan, contract is so damn long! If the knicks decided forgot quality we'll take any junk back just as long as it's expiring I think they could move Allan at the end of this season.

Too many so-called "Knicks fans" punk out in the same manner that Knicks management does by saying that. It's all over the threads...

Once again, we got to go through this treaded mudhole.

The cap can be worked on now!!! How, get players with one year left on their contracts in return for our bloated ones. The money will match up but THE YEARS WILL BE LESS.

I can't name names b/c I am not up with the contract situation, but there has to be someone out there that has a year left that matches money wise that a team is trying to get rid off....

Do some research Layden and actually EARN your salary for once.
