I like the trade only if Knicks go big with the PG. If Knicks get a Jason Terry or Larry Hughes who can score this trade could make alot of sense. But if they keep the current set of PG this trade could look disasterous.

Nothing else is following this trade, this has been said after every layden trade because they baffle the mind and nothing follows

This is another horrible deal

Let's just hope that the next move is that Scott LayDown gets fired. He has worked so hard towards that goal over the years...
Another season, and more adversity to persevere through. We will get the job done, even BETTER than last year. GO KNICKS!

No, man. Nothing else is brewing. This same thread, using different words and by different posters probably, was posted on other sites each time LayDUMB does a trade and the other shoe never drops.

LayDUMB is the ultimate example of WYSIWYG. Unfortunately, what we see and what we get are never any good.

Absolutely true.

There is something cooking though- the Knicks.

...and we are DONE.

Laydown and Chaney will be looking to obtain a defensive presence up the middle and add a legit PG that can break down the defense.
The Future. GO KNICKS!

What were we going to do with SPree at the 3? We're we going to do any better than last year? Not without McDyess. Spree is goin to be thirty four. 34! Perspective people. We got a player that had shown shades of greatness three years ago when the point guard distributed. In offenses with Starbury and Iverson he struggled. He's 6'10 and can get up and down the floor. He adds length and is 27. This might have been a coup. Certainly worth a shot considering the state of our team.

Rain, you are asking us about Perspective? Uh, I don't know, why dont you holla at Layden..Shandon Anderson/Eisely at a cap murdering 80 million..Perspective. Allen Houston 100 mil..Perspective. Trading for McCardboard Knee excuse me, McDyess instead of drafting Amare Stoudamire...Perspective. No playoffs, No excitement, No hope..perspective. Othella...perspective. Spoon, perspective. I know, its all our fault

If it makes you feel better to have this notion that Van Horn, who has been the definition of soft, no heart player his whole career is going to ride in to town and save the day, and completely 180 the game he has displayed for all this time then more power to you..."I'm sure" he is not going to turn out to be another Scott Layden heartbreak.

It's not about Van Horn saving anything.

The only thing saving the day is TIME. Time for Shandon, Houston, to come off the books. No quick fix available anymore. KVH and Latrell had equal salaries. Why not be happy for Spree and root Minny into the Western Conf. Finals?

Our problems have to evaporate slowly now...THAT'S Perspective.

All your points are right on. Except they are many different topics. Start the thousandth Fire Layden thread if you want. In case you didn't read the topic.. its about this particular trade. Focus my friend . BTW... you have every right to be pissed about Spree. He was my favorite Knick too, but I'd rather the team be successful. We needed to do something different.

Hopefully we can get Theo Ratliff to man the middle. Another deal that could possibly come up in the near future is for Shawn Bradley and Nick Van Exel. Dallas likes Thomas and they may take him, as well as Ward and/or Williams, Harrington, and possibly another filler for the two.
