It is so imperitive to get a big (pf) that can shoot as far as zach if Curry is to remain on this team. I can see why Isiah actually got Zach, With curry's limited game and even if we had 3 other snipers he would still get double and tripled because he can't pass, and usually waits for the double to actually get up on him.

What he didn't think was how zach was an equally poor passer and rather chuck it up before the double as oppose to passing it. The problem we face is that the PF ( if curry is to remain) we need should be able to rebound and shoot from any where plus be a decent passer( rasheed, marion, okur, dirk, al harford, R. lewis D west, odom) because thats the only way curry is worth having.

I don't reallly think a PG will help curry as much as a pf/sf will. Even with a good shot blocker and rebounder( camby, tyson chandler) he still suffers. With a solid good pg you only get ally oops, and pick and rolls. Curry does nto execute pick n rolls well as he can't pull up from beyond 5 feet, without barreling in for an offensive foul.

we need a PF who can block some shots or defend the low post if you wanna help out Curry... somebody like JO or KMart would make sense if you're gonna stick w/Curry as our C.

I'd prefer to not cater to Curry (pun intended). I see no long-term solution at either PF and C. Lee is okay, but you want a PF that can either hit a shot or defend in today's NBA. Seems silly to find another player whose sole function is to make Curry work.

It would be a repeat of the mistakes we've made in the recent past. Acquire a player to mask the flaws of a present player. What usually happens is the player you acquire is deficient in every aspect of the game except for what you're seeking to use to mask the flaws of a present player.

All you wind up with is two flawed players in the end....

Trade Zach and go back to featuring Curry to that 19/7 Center then trade Curry. It's not so hard...it just takes some time.

If you want to help Curry on the defensive side of the ball then the Knicks need to team him up with a shot blocking, Rebounding type player. A player in the draft I think the Knicks should take a long look at is Mo Speights. This guy is the ideal player to go along side Curry, Speights brings a solid passing game, Shot blocking and he runs the floor very well, He is a physical player who would thrive in the running game. If the Knicks can get a mid first round pick they definitely should pick up Speights as he has a NBA ready body and game.

Oh no way should the Knicks trade the 6th pick they need to hope for Mayo, Westbrook or Gordon. I like Randolph but I think he has a long developement a head of him.

I think the Knicks need to decide if they are helping Curry or Randolph. Both need the same thing. Isiah should have brought in a power forward who could defend, rebound, block shots and hit the open jump shot last year. Now that Randolph is in NY the current administration needs to decide who is going to be their post presence on offense. Once that has been decided they need to find a guy to compliment that player.

Who gives a crap about Curry? You don't make decisions based on what Curry can and can't do. Curry is worthless to me and if he was in the last year of his deal I would release him. That's how worthless I think he is. Curry doesn't need a defensive PF, he needs a new heart (pun intended).

It would be great if we could move one of the two players this summer. Curry doesn't need help at PF as much as he needs to not compete with a player so similar to himself.

If you can move Curry- I don't mind. I actually think Zach would be more dangerous of the two with D'Antoni- a big who has nearly legit 3 pt range and can board on both ends. And of the two, he is the better passer.

Yes, he needs someone to convince him to pass the ball with greater ease.

Its easier to trade Curry and look for a defensive center (there are far more than defensive PF's), which is what teams usually do. That does not mean I dont want to trade Zach too.

most good teams are built on players that complement the other... some have strengths in areas that help to make up for the weaknesses of others in those same areas... the problem is we HAVEN'T been going that route, instead choosing to target repetitive talent w/the same skillsets at the same positions w/absolutely no thought about how they'll fit together as a unit... that doesn't help to build any team balance & is not the way to build up a core of players that complement one another.

No one gives a crap about curry, but if he is here you mind as well make use of him and put him in the best possible situation were you can maximize is use. Thats the problem we have now, NO BALANCE. Your asking players who are really not suited for certain situations to do more then they can.

Now your saying is it to much to ask curry to rebound and block a few shots here and there. Was it too much to ask ewing to play the paint more instead of drop stepping and shooting jumpers, or asking allan to penetrate more instead of relying on his pretty jumper.

But what we did was add spree for penetration, in ewings case he had Oak then camby, so now everybody can do what they do best, they compliment each other.
Remember how ridiculous Charles smith look next to ewing
