he worked out for toronto yesterday (w/ CDR and brandon rush).

jim kelly (head of scouting for the raps) said that he's carrying a bit too much weight and he doesn't have the explosiveness or leaping ability he had before the injury. he also said he needs to get alot quicker. he may have to adapt his game to his weight and change his game a little bit b/c he doesn't have the same athleticism as before.

now, this is bill walker's first workout and he himself said he didn't shoot as well as he would've liked. he has 13 more workouts remaining. one thing he did say was that he always has the option of going back to school...so he's still not 100% into coming out this draft.

rush is about 9 pounds heavier but it's good weight - pure muscle. kelly liked his composure on the floor. said his knee is not a factor, he's much stronger and he looks very strong and fit.

kelly also said he loved CDR's competetiveness and shooting ability.

he believes this draft has alot of bigs and even positions 20-22 can draft a serviceable big man in the draft.

Bill Walker is fat. He was very hot and cold and was no where near the same player--he's going to be dropping into the second round--he has charahcter issues/weight problems and has already had a bad knee injury.

oooh, I like CDR. Long and strong.. reminded me a bit of Josh Howard. I was impressed by him after tuning in to see Rose. Great FG%, stronger than he looks for a skinny guy.

Good info DJ. As long as Walker continues to lose weight he'll be fine. Draft Express stated the guy is in better shape than he was during the season and has already dropped 25lbs and that his explosiveness is there. He had a workout with probably the Top defensive wing prospects coming into the draft in CDR and Rush. From what I saw from Walker in the tourney wing players like Mayo and others had problems containing him. Just like Minny was ok with what they saw from Lopez meanwhile the Raps enjoyed what they saw. Depends with what eye a player is being scouted from and if there is any posturing going on to protect certain talents.

I like what he had to say about CDR though this is a guy who just didn't get the credit he deserved while playing in Memphis.
