The Knicks are looking for a 4th team to make this deal work--- so far the key elements are Sprewell to the Spurs (don't know why they need him, they have a ton of swingmen already!), Van Horn to the Knicks, and a center of some sort to the Sixers. The Knicks are looking for a 4th team to get involved.

As a result of this trade, I bet the Sixers will also end up with Steve Smith, whose height, ability to play PG and shoot the 3 would pair up well with Iverson. (Certainly Smith is better than that lovable big PG Brian Shaw, eh?)

A quote From NorthJersey.com
Knicks' coach Don Chaney has been a staunch Van Horn supporter. Chaney envisions his team doing more with a legitimate small forward rather than an out-of-position one, which was what Sprewell has been throughout his five-year Knick career.

"You do want to have a conventional lineup," Chaney said recently.

I think this is hilarious. Since when was KVH a conventional small forward? The trade would give the Knicks more rebounding and size at the position, as well as a legit post presence-- and a young guy who many people still has a little more upside. I think his contract runs a similar course to Houston's.

Another Houston-esque contract on the books?!?! HELL NO!!!

I want them to get Manu Ginobli, but the Spurs won't let us pry him away. KVH is a tall SF, which is good, you can't teach size mind you. But, he is too soft.

We will have a soft SF, a softer SG and a soft C? You might as well open a Mr. Softee booth at the Garden, because ALL the Knicks will be serving the fans is SOME SOFT SERVE B-BALL!!!

Don't forget Non Chaney at the helm. Mr. "Relaxed Atmosphere" himself! Last year NY gave up 97.x ppg. Think with that lineup they'll make a hella run at giving up an even 100 ppg.

GO NY!!!
