I like bogut, but not enough to add redd to our team along with zach and those other albatross contracts...

I wouldn't trade Lee and the pick for Bogut. Bogut's good, but not that good.

MIL has a glut of SF in their roster. I don't think they will get rid of Bogut. They need either a scoring PF to go with Bogut or if they don't think Mo Williams is the answer at PG then they would need that too. They may want DLee but other than Bogut or Yi, I don't want anybody else in that roster.

pass.

learn what? I asked a question 4949. Were you not able to read that? Would you like to add to the discussion or offer your opinion to the question? You will notice I did not include any of my own thoughts or opinions. Rather I was curious to think what other posters think... namely regarding the value or availability of a potential star in Bogut who is at the crossroads

Feel free to add anything anytime... aside from the pending aquisition of Lebron James :)

Can we officially call Bogut a bust yet? Eddy Curry lights this guy up every time he plays him. Eddy Curry.

he was taken over Chris Paul and Deron Williams. he hasn't lived up to any of the pre-draft comparisons. it's been three years. bust may be too strong, but there are about 10 other young big men in the league i'd take over him, maybe more.

I don't really see how Bogut is a bust. He was 14pts/10rebs/2blks/51%FG last year.

Nope... I'd swap Randolph for Redd if that deal is still on the table though.

And Bogut definitely isn't a bust. I'd say he's progressing nicely and should legitimately be one of the best centers in the league next season. Maybe he's not a stud, but he's no Olowkandi.

no deals for Redd unless Zach is going back in the deal
After 7 years & 40K+ posts, banned by martin for calling Nalod a 'moron'. Awesome.

Bogut is pretty awesome but I don't think you give up all that to get him. I also don't think you make that move unless you move Eddy and or Zach. The Bucks are much more likely to move Yi or Charlie.

2 years ago I though we should go full after Josh Smith and build a team around him. He's not quite the star I thought he would be but there is still time. The Bogut thing is about taking a risk on a 23 year old player with star potential that his team might have doubts on, or questions about paying.

I think it would be worth it. You would need to do something with Eddy clearly.. but I still think Bogut has star potential. He's a hell of a player at 23. Crappy cast, coach, etc.. Guards are OK but thats about it. That team has terribe forwards

I really like Bogut and I think he'd be excellent in this system since he's quite athletic and he's a legit 5 (aka you wouldn't have to use a hybrid type player there).

I really don't like Michael Redd, his attitude is kind of poor but he is a solid 45% shooter. His contract runs for an additional 3 years which would leave him at 31-32 when his contract runs out, so that might not be killer.

I don't know how feasible a trade is with Milwaukee. We know they won't take Randolph so we'd likely have to hope that they would take a Curry/Lee/Malik for Redd/Bogut trade OR Marbury/Lee. Is that enough to get Bogut? I'm not sure, I've read that Herb Kohl loves Bogut, so he might be pretty reluctant to trade him.

Tough call all the way around though, for some reason Redd bothers me.

cause Redd is a LAyden/Isiah type contract coming back. Thats the price you have to pay for a 23 year old center like Bogut. I am not even sure its worth it, but it would certainly give us a real piece to start building around
