Westbrook is enticing... he could be another Marcus Banks however. Mayo has the stuff to be a star in the league

yeah, Mayo should be taken over Westbrook. I'm thinking he won't be at 6 tho. If he is than honestly I'm thinking David Stern had something to do with it.

I'm not sure how significant it is really that those are the first two players scheduled. The Knicks will probably take a good look at every player that could go their. Walsh seems like that type of Executive.

if mayo is there at 6, we can consider ourselves as lucky as the bulls were winning the lottery...

Geeze, the damn Raptors are bringing in like every college basketball player ever.

everyone that might be available at 17 since most of them are skipping the orlando camp.

this is what colangelo wants this offseason:

"We need to address our defence and rebounding areas, we need to address the development of a young player like Andrea Bargnani, we need to look for another 20-point scorer to facilitate that scoring load," Colangelo said. "We certainly need to get some more help for Chris Bosh, whether it's protecting himself in the paint, getting a little more of a presence in there, to just getting him another scorer to shoulder some of that burden."

so i see them drafting a wing or a big. my pick would be CDR but they may also take a long look at robin lopez.

whatever the case, it will have no impact on the knicks.

How about Randolph and Balkman for Ford, Nesterovic and the 13? Ford and Rasho make about $15.5 mil. The trade should line up nice. Rasho has a year less on his contract than Zach(8.5 mil per for Rasho).

Plz, Toronto has needed bigs eversince they got rid of Antonio Davis and Junkyard dog.
The problem is there are no vets with a family who wants to play there(school system), so he has to get young guys out of college or euros

While I do love the potential of Westbrook, I think you made an awesome comparison there. If Westbrook doesn't live up to his talent, he WILL be the same kind of player Marcus Banks is. Do we want to risk Pick 6 for that? I don't know.

I think the difference is Westbrook is 6-3 and plays well above the rim much much longer than Banks and has already proven he has potential to be a 1st team all nba type defender. Banks is shorter more compact and much more of a long-range bomber. I would make upside comps of Westbrook with Alvin Robertson

Trust me Briggs, I don't think you're wrong, I've liked Westbrook for quite some time now. I just wish there was more definitive evidence to go on with Westbrook. Guys like Rose, Beasely, Mayo had such great years that I don't think it's hard to judge how good they will be as NBA players. Now I know we don't have the luxury of taking a guy like that since we don't pick high enough, but to me, if we are going to take a chance on a potential guy it should probably be Randolph and not Westbrook. I think the skills that Randolph holds are much rarer to find on a big man than the skills that Westbrook has for a guard(although I like those skills.)

Am I making any sense?
