Who would you guys be ok with? Tell me who you want and the players you would be ok with if the Knicks selected them.

I want the Knicks to select with the 6th pick: O.J. Mayo

Players I would be ok with:
Randloph
Augustine
Westbrook
Gordon
Galinari
I wouldn't be to upset with these selections

I also want O.J. Mayo, but in no particular order I would be happy with McGee, Westbrook, Gordon or Randolph. Augustin if trade down.

We need to round out our future and that means we need everything at this point, but given that we do have some decent role players a STUD lead player is a must. There aren't too many natural leaders in any draft and I really like Mayo in that regard. Some may argue, but I think he has the disposition of a leader or at least lead player.

Gordon took on a leading role and I think he did a very good job in a less than ideal situation.

Westbrook has the fire and motor I like in a player. He showed no fear and I think he could develop into a lead type player. He would lead defensively and that could set the tone for the team.

Augustin is a leader, but I don't know about drafting him at 6. I'd love a guy like him with a later pick tho. He just doesn't have the STAR package physically.

I can gather that you will not be one of the posters on here, right after we pick, cursing the Knicks organization for hiring the old, senile, Walsh for drafting (_____) fill in your least favorite player.

Its pretty obvious, one of the five you have mentioned will be in a Knick uni next year. The only two on your list that I would not be very happy about is Augustine (not at 6, myabe if we trade down) and Galinari and thats only because I dont know much about him minus a few youtube clips.

I'd be thrilled to get:
Randolph, Westbrook or Mayo (if he slips)

I would not be happy with:
Gordon, Gallinari or Kevin Love

I'm shock no one is giving Augustine any love. I think he is the only true pg in the draft that has the possibility of going in the lottery. I do agree that he is a trade down to get type player though but if the Knicks can't get a deal done and they think he is their man I wouldn't be to upset about it.

Augustine is the purest pg in this draft, but his size sacres me a bit, and he's not very explosive either. At 6, Westbrook has better value.

How many times do we have to be asked this question?

Walsh has the last word. Nuff said.

What is he 5'11'' what is Chris Paul's height 6' not to much of a difference. Not saying that Augustine is Paul but you would have been scared of CP3's height too.

Vmart, I like Augustine, but as you said, he's a trade down guy. I took your original question to mean who we'd be ok with at 6.

They got lucky. I'd still be scared.

I was on his bandwagon earlier this year, but he didn't have a good tournament season. He's a poor man's version of Jameer Nelson and I'd stay far, far away form him.

The list of guys I'd be okay with:

Lopez
Bayless
Mayo
Westbrook
Alexander
Speights
I'm on the fence with Love
(edit: ) and if Gallinari was selected I suppose I'd be okay with that but I really don't know anything about him

Augustine has much better pg instincts than Nelson who is more of a scorer.

If we get a guard, it's going to be the best ball handler that the draft has to offer.

Augustine might be closer to 5'10 than 5'11. In college, Paul was more explosive and quicker than Augustine and could get to rim and finish better. Augustine is a terrific shooter, but struggles finishing in traffic and he doesn't blow by his man very often. I like Augustine but not at 6.
