Apparently he looked pretty good in the Orlando pre-draft camp.

That's one of Briggs late rounders he would like to see as a knick, right????

Good find man.

Here is where this guy makes sense if you are the Knicks with a later round 1. If the concept of the players is to get up and down the floor with good speed and have the diversity fo skills--i.e passing shooting driving rebounding defense the ability to play BIGGER than you are with long arms---you know what JR Giddens is--he's Wilson Chandler from the 2 guard spot. He may NOT fit well with many teams but IF we do play Uptempo this is the type of player that can get some run off of your bench and grow into a role. If you are going to play small-the guys who are out there who are undersized have to play bigger than they are and things like athletic ability toughness wingspan speed diversified skills all count

I agree totally on this guy BRIGGS. Good call. His stat line for last season was really unbelievable when you think about it. He contributed mightily in ever single area. And he appears to have finally gotten himself straightened out and matured from the Kansas bar fight where he got knifed and the suspension at New Mexico for being a bad teammate. Was just watching a clip where coach Steve Alford was raving about him and the progress he made...

If we could acquire a low 1st rounder somehow I'd look to bring him here. Either Giddens, Shan Foster or maybe even Courtney Lee - although I'm leaning toward going after Giddens. The kid just does too many things well. Gimmie some scenarios on acquiring a pick to get this kid. Would you guys do Nate Robinson to Seattle for pick #24? Nate goes home to Seattle to help sell some seats and we use #24 to get Giddens. I know D'Antoni likes Nate but I could see Giddens excelling more in that Leonardo Barbosa role off the bench.

I think, given that Seattle is moving, the Nate back home idea is dead.

I also think you guys are WAY overrating Giddens. At 24, I'm looking at Thompson, Hickson, Dorsey, Walker...even Jamont Gordon long before Giddens.

Giddens strikes me as a 3 ball or dunk and nothing in between. Like he plays to make the ESPN top 10.

I agree with you, I'm big on Jason Thompson this guy is going to be a solid pro. The thing I like about his game is his shot blocking capability. I think this guy is mature and has enough college experience to make an immediate impact for any team that drafts him.

At first glance I can see what you're saying. But when you look closer - 51.6% from the field, 8.8 rpg, 3.1 apg, 1.4 spg, 1.2 bpg... Eye-popping stats for his position in every category across the board...
