After a party familiar with the plans of the Bulls, who hold the No. 1 pick, and the Heat said last week, "No. 1 and No. 2 are booked and done," Memphis forward Joey Dorsey said he, too, has been led to believe that Kansas State forward Michael Beasley would go at the top of the draft to Chicago, leaving Rose for the Heat.

"Chicago's got a lot of pressure on them because Derrick's from Chicago," Dorsey said, "but they're going to take Beasley. I've got the inside. They're going to get Beasley."

Makes more sense. They've been longing for a big man for quite some time now, and have failed to come up with the key transaction that would've gotten them that PF/C ala Gasol and KG.

I wasn't talking about taking their pick to get Rose. I was hoping Miami wouldn't have to take Beasley, so that they'd still need a scoring big. I'm sorry if it's ridiculous, but I just really really really want Currydolph gone.

It's ridiculous. Sorry. I wish it weren't, but it is. Best bet to trade Curry is to let him pump his stats back up to 19ppg next year. Best bet to trade Randolph is hope someone like Cleveland gets real desperate this summer. Miami is in a different league than us - they have Marion's expiring, the no 2 pick and Dwyane Wade. and they know how to manage their cap. They will never trade with us.

if the draft goes like this:

1) Beasley
2) Mayo
3) Rose (trade to Knicks)
4) Bayless
5) Randolph
6) Love (trade to Wolves)

I will die happy. It's a long shot, but stranger crap has gone down on draft day. Everyone knew Chris Paul was the best point guard in the draft in 2005, but he wasn't even the first point guard chosen and he slipped to four.

The question is - do we have the goods to swap with the Wolves? Give them $3 million and DLee or Nate, is that enough? They save money on Love's salary...

if riley takes mayo then he must see something in him he didn't see in rose. and riley took wade higher than anybody else anticipated so he may know something. i think mayo will end up being a much better player than rose.

You are right......stranger **** has happened. It would be even more sick if Derrick Rose slips to #6. He shouldn't fall past Seattle but that team might just be stuck on Bayless or another player........now wouldn't that be something? just some idle Wednesday afternoon dreaming, but it does seem like Rose hasn't been quite as hot a commodity ever since Deron Williams and Chris Paul lost in the playoffs. I can't see him slipping to 6, obv, but I could see him slipping to 3. And if that happens, I'd hope we'd at least investigate trading up for him.

LOL...Rose and Beasley are going 1-2(interchangeable). Everything else is just a pipe dream.

On a side note, I want Joey Dorsey on this team. If we can get a 2nd rounder and take him I will be very happy.

Love for Rose.......what else could they want from us? They couldn't take Lee with Al Jefferson and Love on the team......maybe a salary dump? But we don't wanna do that right?
