I was in Chicago this weekend, being the best man in my best friend's wedding. I cry at setimental stuff (I cry like a baby when I watched "My Dog Skip") and I was really, really scared I was going to start the waterwarks in the middle of the ceremony.

But earlier in the day, one of my Celtics fan friends mentioned all the BS calls the LeBron got and I mentioned that I understood because I'm a Knicks fan and watched a lot of Michael Jordan. Then we started talking about The Dunk, which got me fired up. I mentioned the baskeball cards that are out where they beasically Photoshopped (whatever the equivalent was then) MJ out. which reminded me how much I hate that guy.

So, fastforward to me trying not to cry. I basicallly replayed The Dunk over and over in my head and each time my inner voice would scream something like "THROW IT DOWN JOHNNY!!!" or "FUCK YOU, JORDAN!!!" When that stopped working, I went to The Running Jumper, then The Four Point Play, followed by some Rangers (Richter's save on Bure, Gretzky's natural hat trick) and some Giants (Manning to Tyree, Plax's touchdown grab). But even when I recalle dother highlights, I would always go back to The Dunk, because **** Michael Jordan.

So, thank you John Starks for throwing that one down. Saved my behind.

Unfortunately for me, I never forget the one time we practically had the ring on our finger, while jordan was out sobbing that year, and John blew it against Houston.
I'll never trust this' team again.

All he had to do was to keep feeding the ball to Ewing who was the hottest Knick in the finals and he decided to be the hero himself.

I never forgot about that.

True, but I was trying to keep my composure... and not have a nervous breakdown.

No worries. I actually blame Riley a lot for that game. Why the eff didn't he bench John for Rolando? WHy the eff did John still have the green light to shoot?
