Every knick fan out there feels that Mgmt should rid themselves the long-term contracts. One in particular is Shandon Anderson who has 4 more yrs remaining at nearly 7.5mil. As you can all see, it would be difficult. One trade i would propose if i were mgmt is trading Shandon and acquiring Eddie Robinson from the Chicago Bulls. That trade don't necessarily eliminates the contract but it sure would make the knicks longer and younger at the 3 position. Eddie since joining Chicago hasn't been getting enough playing time and now with the addition of Scottie, has less of a chance cracking the rotation. Eddie stands at 6'9 with awesome athelic ability. An explosive small forward whose a tough defender. With his addition, he can fill in at the 3 while Spree,(if still with the team) can move at the two spot during games. Despite similiar contracts, at least it would be an upgrade for the knicks. He's 4 yrs younger and 3 inch taller than Shandon. As for Shandon, the thing that remains positive about him is, he knows his role. If he plays only 8 min, he doesn't complain. That's why, he would fit in perfectly substituting for either Jalen Rose or even Scottie Pippen. Hey, right now it looks difficult for Laydown to make big moves base on the team's current situation. If Laydown can't make these type of moves to improve the team then he should stick with the current roster and just be hopeful the team will improve from last year. As we all know, Laydown does have a tendency of becoming desperate. He's the type that would do something costly on te knick team. We shall see!!!

so...that must mean that scottie pippen has even more "awesome athletic ability and even more explosive and an even more tougher defender

...we might have should have gotten scottie.

I dont see any reason why the Bulls would pull the trigger on this trade. They could get so much more for Robinson. The only reason they would even think about doing this is if Robinson complains about playing time. But i still think the Bulls are going to be a little smarter with their moves.

WRONG!! Scottie may not have the same athelic ability like he use too but he does have an advantage with 6 championship rings, has made the playoffs in 16 consecutive seasons and most of all, will bring his savvy veteran leadership to this young bull team. That's why he was brought aboard. These are intangibles Eddie Robinson does not possess..

If you recall, The Bulls were trying to attract free-agents 2 yrs ago. No one wanted to come so they eventually decided to sign Brad Miller and Eddie Robinson promising full-time playing time. Unfortunately, that's not what happened for Eddie and he started complaining. Look at his contract per year, Starters money($$$). Last yr, he played behind Rose and Marshall, and wasn't happy. If he plays for the knicks, his minutes would definitely increase.

Word! Scottie is just setting himself up for the near future in the front office with the bulls; now that Jerry Krause is no longer there....ONE

Bulls trying to do something to regain fan interest... thus attempting to re-live some of their glory days.... from that standpoint, I suppose it's the next best thing to signing MJ... though signing Pippen won't work.

You may be able to get Robinson for Ward.

Why would they want Shandon's contract??? The same reason why Robinson's on the current Bull team. Like i mentioned in the first post earlier, they both have long term deals... Both of them have Starters money. Knicks are looking to get longer and faster which best fit Robinson's description as a player.

Good post for what?? i made my valid pts above. As for the Shandon Anderson comments i made, if you are a true Knicks fan then there should be no reason for you to questioned my statements on Anderson's game. I'm sure you've seen him many times during the season and clearly understands his basketball skills. Shandon is a tough defender as well who repeatly slashes towards the basket. He's quick, strong and has thorough NBA experience. He's is a good guy who really doesn't complain for playing time. In Sprewell's absence in the beginning of the season last yr, he held it down hard. MY point to this topic was to obtain someone taller, younger and able to play the 3 while H20 or Spree plays the 2. This would definitely make the knicks a taller team.

If they went for it, I'd do it...

But that's IF. He'd help us out by complaining Loudly.

OK, then tell me why would the bulls want to get older, and shorter?
Sure they may, may!, want to get rid of Eddie but not for Anderson. They get older, and shorter for thesame amount of money.
