I know he's had issues with being out of shape and being a little slow, but supposedly he's getting in GREAT shape, and this doesn't seem like an Eddie Curry or Michael Sweetney type of workout. This guy seems serious about his business. Seems to have a little spring in his step based on these clips that are shown throughout the interview. He's got a good attitude.

Hell no to Love. Let's hope some team falls for the hype and takes him in the top 5 and Mayo drops down to us.
Thank you, Rick Brunson.

No thanks to Mayo. We don't need combo guards right now. We need need a pure PG. We need a straight up shooter who's accurate as hell and is also BIG. That's why I wouldn't be opposed to Fried Galinari. We need a new PF and a new C, both who play smart and can defend. They both don't have to be shotblockers, but we need at least one, and I prefer that both at least play HARD on defense. I'm willing to give Wilson Chandler a spot, and also wouldn't be opposed to keeping Crawford and Nate and seeing what role they can play in.

You wont get a game-changing PG in the draft. Mayo will be a very good player in the league and it will allow us to deal Crawford and his no defense, 30 foot chucking ways.

Kevin Love doesn't seem to me to be anything more than David Lee and it has nothing to do because he's white.
Thank you, Rick Brunson.

Anything more than David Lee? Last time I checked, that was pretty good.

Not at #6 it isn't. Lee wont be anything more than a very good role player. We are looking for a player that will make an impact on our team. Love isn't that guy.

The reason I like Mayo is because he uses his head more in the game and is more assertive on defense. I'm not his biggest fan but he is an upgrade over Crawford. Unfortunately I'm afraid Crawford will not be traded with D'Antoni here. Ideally though I would draft Galinari or Mayo if he fell to that spot and try to deal off fat boy Curry or Crawford to Toronto for Ford (other stuff would be involved). Then I would try to package Lee and Randolph together to get rid of Randolph's gargantuan contract because that is the only way we will trade him without taking back long-term salaries.

I think there's a difference between a combo guard and an undersized shooting guard. Mayo isn't the tallest shooting guard but he is without question a shooting guard and, in my opinion, a very promising one.
Sh-t in the popcorn to go with sh-t on the court. Its a theme show like Medieval times.

At 6 with D'Antoni i think they should look hard at Love. He's not an explosive athelete but he's smart and does everything well. He's a gym rat and always looks to improve. Can't compare him to Lee. Lee is just a hustle guy. Love is actually a well rounded basketball player.

I'd love to see D'Antoni set up his offense with Love's killer out of bounds passes.

I like Mayo and Love. If either one falls to us, I think we should take that player. I'd be shocked to see both fall to 6.
