Why in the world will Memphis trade Rudy Gay for pick 6? The guy is on the cusp already of being all star level.

I'd certainly do this trade Fishy.. not certain if Memphis will though.

Seriously, I think we'd have to include Lee and next year's unprotected pick to get them to give us Rudy Gay.

I think that is too much a gamble. I like TJ but his constant health issues are a big question.

Personally, I'd rather take Randolph at 6, suck for another year (which we'll do anyway, but even moreso if we don't have a PG capable of running D'Antoni's system) and just get a PG next year in the draft.

That trade with Toronto is pretty good. I think they'd do it & draft Kevin Love, who would give them some muscle but function well in that offense. The Knicks would add TJ Ford plus a big like McGee or Koufos or a scorer like Budinger or CDR.

Yeah man this can't go down cuz Gay is their franchise.

They might very well trade malik and #6 for Mike Miller. Miller @ the 3 with his handle and shooting ability definately helps the Knicks cause.

I doubt anybody thinks Miller is good enough to trade the #6 though.....maybe Jared and #6 for Miller?

fishlips & the #6 for Miller i would do just to get his contract off our books... i'd rather keep the pick & let Malik's contract expire tho than take on another year of salary... there's a decent chance that pick will end up being just as good if not better than Miller anyways.

That's the one we were talking about yesterday and I think its a palatable trade for Toronto and potentially a risk worth taking for NY. You can get a player like Donte Green at 17 potentially

If you want to trade a lottery pick and expiring deal for TJ Ford, I don't know what to say.

Tae out Rose and put in Curry with the lotto pick for Ford and a future first and it's a go. There is no reason to make the original trade. It doesn't help the team with the cap and it's taking a big risk while dealing a valuable asset in the lottery pick.
Thank you, Rick Brunson.

Yeah, that would be a good trade. I'm just looking at the guys that are being projected at 17 or later that I would be okay with drafting (Budinger, Greene, Robin Lopez, Douglas-Roberts, Rush, Dorsey) and I'd be more than happy with that. To get a starter and potentially another down the line out of the sixth pick would be great.

Lotta good scenarios around here. I think something is going to happen soon. Might be when we actually make a pick. Maybe some kind of package deal.
I'll never trust this' team again.
