I do realize West Virginia is as hillbilly as you can get but is it possible that ALL over the country enough white people who voted for Obama during the primaries (possibly out of guilt) will turn around and NOT vote for him? Not to mention many of the Clinton supporters like the ones in the video.

Obviously there are a lot of ignorant people out there. I've also seen "I'll vote for obama, if he doesn't win i'll vote for mccain. anyone but a woman."

Playa, you have to ask yourself these questions, on clips like this. Who made it? How many people did they have to go up to in order to get responses like this? Did everyone respond like this and is WV as hillbilly as you say (Pot calling the kettle black in a small sense)? For that matter, are these people even being real? It could just be tabloid fodder.

Point is, you really have no clue how this represents the entire state of West Virgina, let alone all of the USA. Heck, the person who made this may be someone who hates people from West Virginia and is just trying to make them look stupid, by going up to the dumbest people around and asking for their opinions on Obama.

Oh playa, btw, now that you're attacking white people for jumping ship, let me tell you something. Not ALL black people are liberal and some are voting for McCain. Shocking, huh?

Come on man, give us a break. Do you really think most white people are racist?

There are a lot of people who are voting on the basis of color unfortunately. Whites Blacks and Latinos. I personally will not vote for Obama because he is one of the most liberal politicians out there, if not the most liberal.

Allanfan, my point wasn't to say all white people are racist, my point was to show that because of skin color they weren't voting for Obama.

And my question was does america think like this(MAJORITY), mind you I didn't say sound like this.

If Obama wasn't one of the final candidates and say Edwards was, then he would get my vote. why? Because anybody who is affiliated with the last two presidents are presenting the same thing we had the last 16 yrs.

People like myself and plenty of younger people in america are voting for change, not familiarity.

You can vote for Comrade Obama if youd like. I would also, like change, but not if it means bringing in the ultimate liberal. How will he unify our country with his 100% liberal voting record? Where is his record of compromise? How does change happen when you cant reach people who have different opinions? Or will he simply ram all of his socialist policies down our throat?

And bush has promised that he and his cronies mccain will keep the kids in iraq to die for oil ?

Are you saying that Hillary won't buddy up with bush sr like bill did?

It's the same policy wearing a skirt instead of pants for the last 16yrs.

Liberal like bushy lying to go to war, allowing fake terror tactics just like his grandaddy taught him prescott bush.

I dare you to google prescott bush, GB grandfather

Like how Bush rammed his ridiculous and dangerous policies down our throat. Obama isn't perfect, he is the best candidate. I hope you won't vote for McCain. The dude doesn't even remember what he said yesterday.

Im not a Bush supporter and Im not a republican. So Ill ignore the Bush comment. I will vote for McCain. He is an honest and brave man. I agree with most of his policies. Thats why I will vote for him. Obama is the best candidate if you are extremely liberal. He has no nuetral views. So for independants and conservatives he is not a good choice.

He is an honest and brave man.
John McCain is not that honest. He was involved in corruption scandal, the Keating Five. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Keating_five
The Keating Five were five United States Senators accused of corruption in 1989, igniting a major political scandal as part of the larger Savings and Loan crisis of the late 1980s and early 1990s. The five senators, Alan Cranston (D-CA), Dennis DeConcini (D-AZ), John Glenn (D-OH), John McCain (R-AZ), Donald W. Riegle (D-MI), were accused of improperly aiding Charles H. Keating, Jr., chairman of the failed Lincoln Savings and Loan Association, which was the target of an investigation by the Federal Home Loan Bank Board.

Also, he has been caught lying and or being misinformed:

I agree that Obama leans to the left more than to the middle but I don't see how its bad for the independents. Can you post something about him that damaging to the independents in the country that is different from the views of all the other candidates? I'm just trying to learn as much as I can about these guys.

Its ok to want change, its ok to volley back and forth from left to right to keep a balance. The system is very flawed but in the end it works better than any other on the planet.

Playa, I can agree we could use a fresh approach, and even if a bit naive I can go that way.

Your support of OBAMA is really not very unique. The man is leading the polls and smashing Clinton.

Oregon is a mostly white liberal state. High income state, and they voted for Obama didn't they? Im gonna guess more delegates also won by Obama there than in West Virginia.

Why not extenuate the positive instead of the obvious negative?

That video portrays some real dumb Sh!ts for sure, but lets be real on one thing, your always trying to prove somthing.

You think if anyone made a video of black people talking in a similar manner you'd be crying about it being racist. I have heard plenty of black supporting of Obama for many ignorant reasons masking the real truth that they want one of their own as president.

I think that with Obama both black and white are attractive not by the promise of change, but the HOPE that is MIGHT be possible. Thats ingangable so its hard to debate, but emotions are real with voters.

Lets get some things straight. Racisim exists! (both ways btw!) That is no shock to anyone is it? Another point, West Virginia is about the lowest economic state in the Union and its mostly white. Do the math, lots of Dumb people, and dumb people are usually racist. Oregon has a much different demographic amung its mostly white population and who did they vote for?

Ignorance breeds fear, where being familiarity breeds confidence.

Sounds like you need to hang with more white people. Or maybe more educated ones. If you open up a bit instead of being defensive you might learn more.

Take a step back, there is a black american about to be nominated to be the democratic choice! That is somthing!

If I were you, you might want to worry as to why Hillary has not backed down yet and what could undercut Obama during the convention in August.

I think there is somting to Hillary keeping the campaign going as to not give him enough delegates (not that she will have enough mind you) so it gets to the convention and thats when the Sh!ts gonna hit the fan.

Thats for another thread to discuss.

Don't worry about telling us about dumb West Virginia people. There are lots of "West Virginia" jokes out there for decades and we white people understand they exist. And if asked, we don't defend them.

I agree with this. Playa, what would your reaction be if someone made a similar video with black people saying racist stuff about other races? Basically, what do you think about Al Sharpton?

Silver if you posted it and it was relevant to something as important as the presidential election, I would react in a negative way AND TELL FOR WHAT IT IS .

Nalod has a way of making me sound as if I would NEVER incrimnate or condemn black negative behavior BY A BLACK PERSON.

Check out some of the threads I have started I pull up anybody regardless of what their color is.

Nalod you can post what ever you want it's an open forum(off topic).

What I was saying by posting the video is that we never see this kind of mindset on national tv (poor white people) and how they speak on how they view the world or politics.

But the local and national media will flaunt and present blacks as un educated or violent and anyone not familiar with blacks as a people will carry a very negative stereotype point of view of us.

I would bet most people(northeasterners) on this forum has never seen that kind of mindset on national news, it's a culture shock just to view it.

I would go on record and say we all can find poor people of any color that hold similar mind views , but in america the one race that is shown is predominatly blacks.

Do you agree?
