Russel Westbrook

This guy is the perfect point guard for the offense D'Antoni ran in phoenix. Westbrook has good size for the point guard and is strong, he has blinding speed, is a good passer, a shutdown defender, and can knock down the open shot. I would say he is a bigger, stronger, and a much better defensive version of TJ Ford. And plus, with all the turnovers he creates we will have plenty of fastbreak opportunities, which he is exceptional in. I hate to say chris Paul but they do have a lot of similiarities with the exception of the passing ability, the question is can he show us he has the PG skills to become a great point guard, if hedosen't he will be an undersized shooting guard without a great shot.

I also like Anthony Randolph at 6 but he isn't built like an Amare (I hope he can become an amare type player) and he could end up being a bust. With that said I think Westbrook has less of a bust factor and this franchise CANNOT have a bust in this draft so if I am Walsh I am taking Westbrook if I am forced to choose between him and randolph.

Please God no Brook Lopez

I'm not sure who we should pick. I think we need to research it more. I do know one thing. Most of the fans are going to be very disappointed when we do pick. Usually are.
I'll never trust this' team again.

I'd also like to see some kid who Jay BIlas is blasting out call him out on it! Im not saying Jay is wrong, but damm, the kid is getting pummeled in front of the whole world. Or some kids mother just start going off on Jay and tell him to STFU on national TV!

I like to TIVO and start watching it an hour or so into it so I can blow thru the commercials and garbage filler.

Whats become interesting is how the better teams, like the Spurs draft europrojects in the lower picks. It does not always work out (milos Vujanic's Knee) but at least Layden was looking ahead. Isiah gets picks then has no room for them! (Nichols).

I think Westbrook has to be VERY VERY high on the list. If they feel Westbrook can be a star in this system[and he sure has the talent for it] than take Westbrook--after thinking about it--in terms of pure SAFETY and upside Westbrook probably is pick 6. What I mean by that is that he probably will be a good player in the NBA with the upside of being a great player. Other players that I or other have mentioned might not be as safe as Westbrook. Westbrook has more upside than Eric Gordon and DJ Augustine imho.

I already know the player I would take is Mcgee but Westbrook and Randolph are 1B and and C to me. Those three players would be my pick.

I agree with everything you said about Westbrook Briggs. He would seem to be a shoe-in to run D'Antoni's offense, since he is very capable of bringing the ball up at various speeds throughout the game.

I'll still take Bayless over Westbrook, but if Bayless is gone, I'd have a tough time deciding between Randolph and Westbrook.. I think I'd still lean towards Randolph.

What about you?

Guys I would be okay with:

If they fall:
Mayo
Bayless
Lopez

Should be available:
Westbrook
Arthur
Gallinari
and I'm not sure if he's declared or not, but Tyler Smith from Tennessee would be my guy

I would be
A Mcgee
B Randolph
C Westbrook

But not much seperating them. I like Mcgee because he brings a very rare package--not only is he 7 feet tall with very long arms but he has unusual skill sets for someone being that size. He's very athletic he can post drive shoot mid range block shots rebound pass--to me he has the THIRD most talent in the draft and maybe the highest upside. He has to be untaught some things he has learned and use his skills 12 feet in. He has the talent to be a 20-10-3-3 player. To me that is a requirement piece for a good team. I cant say that about to many other players in this draft.

You've been on McGee for a long time, longer than anyone else, that's for sure. I honestly haven't seen him play, he's one of the few guys I haven't seen play so I can't be certain about. Of course I've seen the highlights on youtube and he looks spectacular, but again those are the HIGHlights and not the LOWlights. I'll take your word for it though on McGee.

I'm still going to go for Randolph though, as you and I have talked about before, he's Chris Bosh all over again.
