Honestly the Knicks are right will I predicted them to be. The Bulls are a huge surprise. Their pick is not really detrimental to us but at the same time it doesn't help us because whoever they pick (Beasley or Rose) Miami will take the next best prospect (Beasley or Rose). Picks 3,4, and 5 is what we should be worrying about.
The Timber wolves are number 3, and with a young backcourt of Foye, McCants, and Telfair, I really doubt the will draft another guard. Thats why I think they will draft Brock Lopez. He is a stiff but he is fundamentally sound and when your starting center is Michael Doleac, anything is an upgrade.
At number four we have the Sonics. Seattle point guards seem to be in a carousel all season. I can almost guarantee they are going go for a guard with this pick (Dont be surprised to see Durant's fprmer teammate DJ Augustine get some recognition here). I think it is going to be hard for them to past on the speed and athleticism of Jerryd Bayless. Mayo can be considered here but I think Bayless gets the green and yellow cap here.
Number 5 pick goes to Memphis and they have the opportunity to **** things up for the Knicks. Why? Because they need everything besides a small forward, especially at the 2 guard and the power foward spot. After hearing how well Pau's little brother is doing in Europe and how they are in talks for to buyout his contract, they will probably not draft a power foward. So unfortunately they will take the player I really wanted in O.J. Mayo. Mayo and Durant might cause problems in the Western conference.
So that leaves us with our New York Knickerbockers. I stated in a previous post that we would draft Kevin Love and I stand by my word. If he continues his offseason regiment to lose weight and gain explosiveness, he might be the steal of the draft. Don't listen to Fag Ford's mock draft saying that we are going to draft Danilo Gallinari ( I think thats how you spell it) because D'Antoni coached in Europe. Also, from the tone of D'Antoni and Walsh trades will be made with our team. Lee is a goner. So is Randolph (Please Curry too!!!).
