I like what Donnie Walsh said and I agree with him 100% Take the guy you think will be the best at 6 down the line--meaning if he has to be devloped a bit that is OK. To me 6-3 shooting guards who shoot 33% from the 3 point line in college and play no D or a 5-11 PG who was bullied by Mario Chalmers and Derrick Rose are not what I would consider swinging for the stars. I would like to think about the possibility of moving back with the Nets for 10-21---I would love to swipe Giddens and one of Randolph or Mcgee if they want to keep David Lee.

BRIGGS,

Odds are against us for getting a real star at 6, according to draft history.

Randolph or McGee are guys I like, or maybe Gordon or Westbrook, but we could really strike out with the first two, and the other have potential limitations.

The home run pick seems to be Anthony Randoplh. He is only 18 with HUGE upside. High risk high reward. He blocks shots though so at very worst we will add that which is sorely needed on this team.

If we'd hit singles and doubles with all our lottery picks this decade, we'd have a really solid team right now.

if i'd only hit singles & doubles with all the chicks i've been dating this past decade my balls would be really blue right now.

If you look at the guys we have now, a lot of them were picked pretty high. So it doesn't always work. Obviously.
I'll never trust this' team again.

How would you compare Anthony Randolph vs Tyrus Thomas? Or perhaps a better comparison, Josh Smith of the Hawks?

I said if we hit singles or doubles, not if we grounded into double plays!

havent the Bulls drafted well last few times? Hinrich, Deng, Gordon and they are kind of mired in mediocrity and on the fence with what to do with a roster of guys that seem talented but dont win many games.

I am for the HR also.. Randolph, McGee, etc.

If Mayo is one the board I would take him. Unless something happens that really warns him off. Maybe we can go full out for him and get him to shut down workouts for us. No guarentee someone wont pick him 3-5 but worth a shot.

The Bulls have drafted well but they've been terrible at trades (other than with Isiah) and FA signings.

That's an interesting idea... specifically because the NEts need a top pick to get Melo. I'm not sure six is high enough for them to do that, but maybe if the player the Nuggets likes falls...?

The bulls can afford' to draft well. No big pressure in chicago.

Ummm, I think Rose is gonna make a big difference there now. So mediocre is about to go out the window.
I'll never trust this' team again.
