Although I would prefer the Knicks to keep the pick and draft Augustine....If Denver is serious about trading Melo to the Nets, the Knicks should get involved and intercept.

Nuggests get:

David Lee
Eddy Curry
Malik Rose
2008 draft pick

Knicks Get:

Melo
Camby

The same format the Nets were offering only we can give them a better draft pick.

Are you kidding?

You'd be battling for 2nd in the East with Camby and Melo on the Knicks.

You'd have to sweeten the pot a bit I think to get Denver to take that deal.
Alan Hahn: Nate Robinson has been on a ridonkulous scoring tear lately (remember when he couldn't hit Jerome James with a Big Mac in early January?)

Hahahaha. Battling for 2nd in the east? Give some of that stuff you're smoking.

Carmelo is a punk ass loser and a cancer on any team and Camby is 33 years old. Why the hell would I destroy my cap for these 2 and give away a lottery pick in the process? Sounds like an Isiah-esque move.
Thank you, Rick Brunson.

i do that deal...but we also need to dump randolph for a decent PF and an expiring. then we can start nate, crawford, melo, ___, and camby. maybe pick up a late first round pick somehow, or start chandler and put melo at the 4. either way we wont get a player of melo's caliber in this draft. if we aren't good this year we can trade camby to a contender for some picks/young talent. maybe balkman and camby to the mavs for josh howard

Carmelo is a punk ass loser? He won an NCAA title his first time out. He's better than anyone on this team. He'd be the best player in the East after KG.

Camby was involved in a trade that was the seed that led to the abyss that we're in now. Getting him back would be symbolic as much as it would be really effective for a team that has made a tradition of trailing the league in shot blocking.

Have you seen the "rumor" trade deal between Den and NJ? Its almost the same thing...an expiring contract, a rookie contract and one draft pick. I realize this will create a log jam at the 4 & 5 for Denver, but this will give them the room to trade Nene, start JR and put them in a better position to draft for a future 3 or 1.

No, Ewing was that trade. Camby contributed to it but that's not the point. That's the argument with bringing back Camby? I know he's still a good player but he will undoubtedly start to decline and he makes too much money to deal an expiring for.

I don't care about what Carmelo did in college. He hasn't done anything to help his team. He's been eliminated in the first round every year. He is Glenn Robinson reincarnated. Not to mention the whole DUI thing while in the playoffs. He doesn't care about his teammates. He is a me-first player. We have enough of those.
Thank you, Rick Brunson.

the Nets were offering a better player in RJ as well... it's not a clean sweep of a better deal if you're looking at it from the Nuggets' perspective.
