This is what we have to show for our management team from our direct pick

2002 Pick 7
2003 Pick 9
2004 Pick 16
2005 Pick 8
2006 Pick 2
2007 Pick 9

What we have to show for these picks on our roster directly or indirectly

Stephon Marbury[oh guess what--we still owe an unrestricted pick from this deal:)}
Eddy Curry
Zach Randolph

Thats it. Essentially 6 lottery picks and one we still owe and this was the end result--owe + an average of under 30 wins per year

That goes back well before Isiah. It's the worst run franchise in professional sports.

correct me if i'm wrong but the only pick the Knicks had that they didn't give away was the one in 2003 and 2005 ....... and they turned out to be epic busts
some Knick fans accept mediocrity as excellence .... I don't!

Well, "you can't rebuild in NY." I guess the fans are just too impatient or something. So we get to endure years and years of hopeless hell.

2002 and 2003, yeah. I guess I'll say Thank You Isiah with a supporting role from Scott Layden.
Thank you, Rick Brunson.

this is why we need to get one of the top two picks- take all the guess work out of who to draft.

has any other franchise come away with less?

Sure, there are teams like the Spurs that have always picked in the back of the draft- but even teams like that have found a way to add meaningful role players.

It's really that ownership is too impatient.

if you fill in the blanks with who we could've gotten over the last six years, who was available at the pick we had... it's ugly.

2002 Pick 7 Nene, Amare, Caron Butler, Tayshun Prince
2003 Pick 9 Pietrus, David West, Josh Howard
2004 Pick 16 Josh Smith, JR Smith, Jameer Nelson, Varejao
2005 Pick 8 Granger, Bynum, Warrick
2006 Pick 2 LaMarcus Aldridge, Roy, Gay, Tyrus
2007 Pick 9 Noah, Law, Young

take one from every year, or even if we'd only gotten three of those players in six years, or heck, TWO, and we'd have a core to build with.

Lets hope the Knicks draft before Minnesota. If it isn top 3 swap picks with them and get the 18th pick also. Trading your lottery pick for the bulls 16th and 26th pick also make sense. You could get a Mullins and a Paddy Mills in that situation. If you dont have a top 5 pick trade dowm because this draft sucks.

I have accepted where the Knicks will be drafting, for me this day is never good for the Knicks history. All our questions should be who is going to be available for the Knicks at 9, 10 or 11. I refuse to even think about the top pick or top three or even the 8th pick.

Over the years it has hit me that the Knicks are the dumpster of the NBA.
