I'm a huge 'Melo fan, but I'm pretty sure you'd take the cheaper player in the same mold in Beasley wouldn't you?

Alan Hahn: Nate Robinson has been on a ridonkulous scoring tear lately (remember when he couldn't hit Jerome James with a Big Mac in early January?)

I could see us trading for Melo if we end up with pick 5- I don't know how badly denver wants to move melo- but I could see Marbury being a critical salary dump

i don't want Melo... he's immature & pouty & it would take way too much to get him to begin with... i don't see him as a guy i'd want to build my franchise around the way i would some guys like Lebron, Paul, Kobe, etc... he's more of a T-Mac type talent in my view... just my opinion.

i say stay the course, make some short term deals w/o sacrificing the cap flexibility longterm & keep ourselves in the running at least when the big names become available... even if we can't sign any of them we'll still have some expirings at that point to make other moves if need be... in the meantime let's put together some pieces that would work in the system D'Antoni is going to run here & build a winning culture in NY built around a team first concept.

So that leaves Denver with Marbury and AI?

They had trouble beating Puerto Rico together.

Ironically wasn't Karl the coach as well?

theoretically if we're dealing - they have pick 5 & probably Chandler & cap relief.

You know what would be a great trade actually? Pierce and picks for Anthony.

The C's need a closer with more cajones.

Denver needs more of a two way player and has tougher forwards to fill that role.

JR Smith, Pierce, AI is an unreal group of wing players.

Anthony should never be traded for a player who isn't top-tier.

Don't forget they have to trade for Zach Randolph.

Pierce is the wrong side of 30 and Boston's picks are way too late to matter in a trade like that.
