I really think the Knicks need to acquire a second pick, so we can go get this guy! He's said to be the top player from Euro. I like the way he plays. He's a Lee type. Not greatly athletic, but a hard, focused worker.

He's got some pretty good hands and dribbling skills from what I can see in several videos. Someone here mentioned him (who was it) earlier so I looked him up and found out some interesting things about this guy.

I know I mentioned him earlier.

I really wish I could watch some full games of this kid instead of just highlights. You can never really tell how good a player is by just looking at their highlights on youtube. Everything you read sounds good on the kid though, so we'll have to see. D'Antoni has close links with Italian basketball so it'd be interesting to see if the Knicks consider him if they dont have one of the top 2 picks.

Yes, it was you that mentioned him. Thanks. This kid is only 19 and he plays like that? I'm impressed. It does feel like we need two picks though. It would feel like more of an accomplishment in this next draft.

Gallinari is projected by most to be a mid to late lottery pick.

How do you propose the Knicks get another lottery pick?
If it didn’t work in Phoenix with Nash and Stoutamire... it’s just not a winning formula. It’s an entertaining formula, but not a winning one. - Derek Harper talking about D'Antoni's System

That's just it. I'm not sure. Anyone have any ideas? Can we buy one? Does the NBA allow that? Stern said he wanted to help, so help us Stern.

I'm not impressed by the videos but that doesn't mean the kid doesn't have talent. He looks like a project nonetheless and with D'Antoni here we're not in project mode, we're in a win now state even more urgent than Phx believe it or not.

Ringraziarla.

Translation: Lord Stern, please get the Knicks another lottery pick without trading David Lee so we can use it to draft Danilo Gallinari. Also Lord Stern, please do not let Gallinari turn out to be as big of a bust as the other Italian kid, Andrea Bargnani.

Thank you.

But we are' in project mode right now. And we're not going to get too many wins next year, judging from what we have had in the last three years.

Boy you like beating a dead horse, dont you? We get it, you don't like the move. Move on, talk about something else, you don't have to poison every thread with the same **** over and over again.

Edit: Unless it's about how great Larry Brown is. That of course, is allowed.

and hopefully we will win now, but considering that most guys on our team who fit MD's style are pretty much advanced projects
(yes crawford is still a project, he hasn't been able to apply his skills within a system with consistency) so why not add more guys that could buy into the system as its being taught to the team? More urgent than one of top teams in the league -Phx who have allstars and nash? I don't think so. If anything we are here in rebuild , but on-the-fly mode.

I don't have enough faith in the Euros to gamble a lotto pick on them. I wish we could just sign them as FAs.

IMO, the most reasonable mock draft out there is Draft Express which has him going at 6. If we do pick at 5 and some team bails us out by taking Lopez at 3 or 4, we'll have a choice of either Bayless or Mayo with Galinari. If Lopez doesn't go at 3 or 4, Galinari is the obvious choice. The way I see it, no one else is worth considering.

Colangelo of Toronto will get 1st pickings from the euro league .

He has been over there scouting for awhile now.
JAMES DOLAN on Isiah : He's a good friend of mine and of the organization and I will continue to solicit his views. He will always have strong ties to me and the team.

They don't pick until 17. No way Galinari lasts that long.

Way to many Euro players picked high ending in disaster. The last Italian player drafted went 1 and how is that working out? How in goodness gracious could we take a stab at someone from Italy with such a high pick?
