Assuming he doesn't bring his old staff along with him or only brings some of them, I think many of us will agree that we need a defensive assistant coach. I don't who is available but I think a guy like Kevin O'Neil would work well here. Any ideas?
Thank you, Rick Brunson.

1. D'Antoni doesn't believe in focusing on defense.

2. D'Antoni doesn't practice enough to allow a defensive assistant coach to make a difference.

Fresh start and you are still being negative.

So call him Antoni until he does!

Wrong.

I was positive with hiring Donnie Walsh initially.

I was negative with keeping Isiah here in any capacity.

I was positive about the possibility of hiring Mark Jackson.

I'm negative about hiring Mike D'Antoni's flawed system .

I was positive about potentially doing a complete rebuild.

I'm negative about taking shortcuts and not rebuilding.

defeatus attitude.

It's up to Donnie to bring in an assistant. If anyone knows what we been lacking the last several years, then it would be Donniie.
I'll never trust this' team again.

What flawed system are you talking about? Pheonix? He's no longer there! Why would you care about them? He's coming here, to an already flawed system, with a goal to accomplish. 'Operation Win Games'.

He'll probably bring some of his assistants from Phoenix like Alvin Gentry (who used to coach the Pistons), Dan D'Antoni and some others.

Aguirre, Suhr and Glymph are surely safe.

Doubt it. Maybe Suhr because the Knicks as an org are supposedly high on him, but I think Aguirre and everyone else except maybe Herb, are goners. Maybe we hire Thibidou.

PS: The Suns had short practices, but they had 60 win seasons. I'm pretty sure that D'antoni would be handling things quite differently here. And why does it bother you that we have a bunch of short practices? It's about 500X better than having no practices at all, like how Isiah did. That was frustrating.

Now this I hope doesn't happen. I want all the Isiah cronies gone, my fear is maybe Herb might have been infected too.

Aguirre sucks balls, Suhr is a fat lard who is a terrible role model for an assistant coach and Gylymph is pretty worthless.

Is Walsh connected to any of those assistants? If not, why would we presume any would be asked to stay?

Agreed and I bet it's seen this way by DAntoni. We're not keeping Isiah leftovers.

The only guy on the staff worth anything is Dave Hanners and he proved why during last summer's SL games. He was my top choice to promote to "interim" head coach while we "rebuilt" but well since we're not going that direction...I still think he's a good guy to keep.

The rest is crap. Including Herb Williams who is nothing more than a big dummy, a suck up, a puppet, a sheep to his previous coach as he's proved time and again. There is no such thing as Herb Williams - as he's always just been a real crappy extension of the previous coach he served under. Get rid of that big dummy.
