It's a risk because if you hire Ewing, who has a very nice resume so far, and Curry doesn't pan out, then after that, you can't trade Curry for crap because even Ewing couldn't help him. Also, MAYBE fans start developing a bad taste for Ewing, again, for not being able to work with Curry (Which would be completely unfair to Ewing.) However, on the flip side, if Ewing can get through to Curry, then we got ourselves an all star center who will play defense (Cause you KNOW Ewing will get on Curry for his lack of defense and lack of staying in shape.)

If you trade Curry, I say hire Ewing whether we have a big man to work with or not, and groom him to be a headcoach. Either way, I think we need to hire Ewing as an assistant.

Patrick Can't stop Curry from ordering number 1-12 Combos from Mcdonald's to start his day everyday.

Curry can't help himself. Let's see how Pat does as the summer league coach for Orlando. I think this is an important step for him becoming a head coach here are anywhere else.

i'd explore trade options for Curry, but i don't think if Ewing can't help him his trade value will be any less than it is right now... i'd welcome giving Ewing a chance to work w.Curry & Zach... we got nothing to lose by doing it IMO.

1) Patrick was a legendary player, but I don't feel he's close to being ariculate enough to be a head coach.
2) Curry is basically a nice kid who doesn't have the personality of a top athlete. He's soft by every definition of the word. I'd trade him to the highest bidder, even if that highest bidder is a box of broken pencils with no erasers.

I think you need to give Curry another chance. He had one season here where the coach showed faith and centered the offense around him. He can be a dominant force on offensive. He will never be a great shot blocker, rebounder or defender but he can improve. He has not received any coaching since he has been in NY. He needs a power forward who can defend, rebound, and hit an open jumper. He needs a point guard who is looking to set him up. He is not a bad guy but he needs a motivational coach and he needs to have the right teammates around him to be effective. He was never given any of that while he has been a Knick. He is only 25 and his trade value should not go any lower. The Knicks as assembled by Isiah are a bunch of players with strengths and weaknesses that do not compliment each other and that is a big part of why they were not successful. If you add an incompetent coach who doesn't hold practices into that mix there is no way you can have a successful team. Unfortunately Isiah was allowed to hold the title of incompetent team president and coach for way too long. A bunch of guys have had their growth stunted by having him around.

Trade. I want no part of Curry on this team. The day we shed that lazy fatass is the day the organization regains a glimmer of hope.
Wishing everyone well. I enjoyed posting here for a while, but as I matured I realized this forum isn't for me. We all evolve. Thanks for the memories everyone.

Curry is one of the many disgraces amassed on the team. Trade him immediately.
Thank you, Rick Brunson.

Curry needs to lose significant weight. If he can, he'll be a better player - not great, but better. If he can't try to trade him.
