Effective July 1. If it's effective July 1 are they going to include him in on their drafting process? I'd hope not.

Like Larry Brown , he has another gig lined up.

Maybe to the knicks.[:
JAMES DOLAN on Isiah : He's a good friend of mine and of the organization and I will continue to solicit his views. He will always have strong ties to me and the team.

Strange. He worked so hard to successfully turn the team around and now he's not gonna stay to appreciate the fruits of his labor.

The guy did a terrible job. He deserved to be fired. I don't care what the future looks like. He whiffed on Paul, Williams, Granger, and Bynum, Roye, Foye, and Rudy Gay. The Bibby trade was terrible, Speedy Claxton? He has made so many mistakes and that team was in the lottery for 8 years in a row they should have a great core lined up.

But i am sure walsh will look at him

I think him wanting to get Woodson fired when the majority was on Woodson's side and against it was what truly alienated him from the suits and players. ATL then had a very good showing in the playoffs and BK was probably an outcast at this point. This is a save face move by him to be honest. I'm sure he got the sense his days were numbered.

They'll probably replace him with Billy King if Belkin doesn't veto such a move.

I actually think the Bibby trade was decent, since even as a shadow of his former self, Bibby is better than any pg they currently have on the roster. The big mistake was taking Marvin Williams over Chris Paul or Deron Williams. It would have been one thing if Atl did not need a pg but there biggest needs that year were center and pg and they already had the two Joshs to play the SF position. Yet, he still drafted yet another SF and passed on two pg who are destined to be in the top-5 in assists for the next 8-9 years. He had a good draft this year, but really he lucked up when Atl moved up in the draft b/c that pick was actually supposed to go to the Suns. Horford is going to be a stud, so picking him over Yi was a smart move IMO. Law has shown that he at least can be a decent defender, but he has to improve substantially to be anything more than a career backup. Overall, I would give him a C- as a GM.
