With another quick exit from Dallas and with parts more suitable now for a half court game with an old Jason Kidd and the bong master no longer welcome in Big D, I think this is a good opportunity for us to unload ZBo.

ZBo for Josh Howard and Stackhouse works contract wise.

Why would we do it? Addition by subtraction and Howard is a nice parting gift. Stackhouse..ehh, contract filler. I think Howard is a little overrated benefitting from Dirk Digglers game. He might be the next Shandon Anderson, but we really need to get rid of ZBo. We will still be within the 3 year FA plan in that Stackhouse's contract is 1 year shorter than ZBo while Howard has the same length as ZBo. They both end in 3 years. We should be competitive with those 2 additions for next couple of years.

Why would Dallas do it? Dirk Diggler neads help down low. ZBo will just automatically make them better offensively specially with Jason Kidd setting him up for prime position down low. He is also a heck of a rebounder. His negatives are the obvious in that he is limited defensively but beggars can't be choosers. Cuban has to act now before Dirk losses another step.

Doubt Dallas would do this. One of the reasons Dallas got rid of Johnson is because I think they wanted to bring in a coach who open up the offense a little more. Despite Kidds advanced age, he is still most effective in the open court. Zach would slow things down.

I also think you may be underrating Josh Howard a little by suggesting he may the next Shandon Anderson. Howard was a boarderline allstar the first half of the year.

If we could pull this trade off, I'm all for it. But I doubt Dallas wants to go in this direction.

I think in order to get that deal done your looking at Balkman, Nate, and Zach for Josh Howard because you need uptempo players to go with kidd thats really their problem. Howard is a slasher that doesn't excel in a fast break offense

MS, where do I sign and but would Dallas want to do this? Two things. They are still a fast break team that stresses ball movement. Zach destroys that. Also, Carlilse is a defensive almost drill sergant coach, from what I understand. Zach doesn't play defense and their front court D already sucks. There is no way we can get Dallas to take Zach off our hands. Not a chance.

I think the 2 teams you can try to persuade are Denver and Miami. With Miami, Pat Riley seems to have a thing for these players who have reputations for being great scorers but lousy overall team players. Just look at Antoine Walker and Ricky Williams. Heck, even Jason Williams. Plus they need low post scoring to replace Shaq in their halfcourt system. Maybe do a 3 way sign and trade and give them zach, have them sign and trade Marion for expiring contracts, going to us, somehow, someway.

Denver just strikes me as a poorly run organization. Isn't there GM the one who gave Z-Bo his big contract, back in Portland? Maybe we can work something out with them.

In other words to get read of Zack (and Edde, Craf, Marbs, JJ1, JJ2 for this matter) we need to find some bigger idiots that... you know who...

I think Cleveland is still the best bet for ZBO.

Jamal and ZBO for Wally and Zydrunas, if we want cap space by 2010.

I think thats a pretty good deal for both teams, Jamal will score 20 with ease in that lineup and they can slot wallace and varejo over to the five because right now they have the worst talent in the east outside of lebron.

ZBo to the Cavs makes alot sense. May even be a factor in James living in 2010.... Zach can be the knicks mole, LOL.

Shandon Anderson along with Howard Eisley (gulp) were considered very good players back in their Utah days when their were playing with the great duo of Stockton and Malone. That is why they got their fat contracts. I need to see more from Josh Howard when he is not around Dirk Diggler.

I'm not following this. Shandon and Howard Eisley never put up #s close to Josh Howard's. And Dirk isn't known for making his teammates better. If J Howard were playing on Phoenix with Steve Nash, for example, I could understand your comment but I'm having trouble following it given the team he's on.

I dont want Josh Howard. Let him smoke his drugs elsewhere. ZBo, even if you dont like the guy, was our best player last year hands down. Just say no to drugs.

Ironic since Z-Bo's known for lighting up a few himself.

what does it matter who our best player was? we won 23 games. zach was part of the problem, a big part. he needs to go. for him being our best player, he came here and we won 10 less games, curry was less effective with less touches, lee was less effective with less minutes, etc. zbo is horrendous.

Claiming that your innocent of using drugs and never being found guilty despite drug tests is much different than going on the national stage and telling everyone your using. Thats the difference between Zach Randolph and Josh Howard.

This is no different half the league smokes who really cares to be honest. Josh actually plays defense unlike Zach which is the big difference and isn't a chemistry killer. Why not give them Curry and Balkman for Howard. Josh is actually very tradable down the road the knicks need to get rid of players in order to get better. That trade is actually good for dallas, they could use the midlevel to try to get childress or pietrus.

I would make that trade in a second. Next, I would try and move Zach and would be on to something.

we're not getting Josh Howard in any deal involving Zach... i'd give up D Lee easily to get Josh plus whatever filler DAL wanted... throw in Malik's expiring, Balk & Nate in there too, whatever... doesn't matter to me, as long as we held onto our pick... i love the way Josh Howard plays & just cuz he smokes a little chronic doesn't mean much cuz he plays his heart out on both ends of the floor whenever he's on the court... we could very much use more players like him on this team.
