I think Shaq was nothing without Kobe and Kobe would've handled himself well, just like he's doing now. Kobe isn't exactly like a side kick, like Pippy Longstocking was to jordan!
Now as far as the three championships? Who knows if they ever would have one without each other.
That's all well and good, but the MVP = Most Valuable Player, which not is necessarily equivalent to the best player, nor the player who is the most exciting, nor the player who puts the most points in the basket. I think sometimes people are confused by this. Kobe earned it this year because he actually made his teammates better more than he had in the past and his team excelled.
Your right, but you have to apply that to chris paul.
Absolutely. I think that if the Hornets had the #1 seed in the west that Paul gets the MVP. I think the Lakers winning the west's #1 seed may have been the tiebreaker.

What else is troubling is that Byron scott was name coach of the year which he got base on pauls play.
You look at N O last year with all the injuries, they didn't get close to the playoffs. There roster is about as balance as you can get as far as defenders, shooters, and a great play make leading the way.
Even with out paul gasol and andrew bynum, the lakers where still winning and I give Phil the credit there. Not taking anything away from kobe, i just think chris p took it to new levels.
